Hi I make pao bhaji occasionally. Every time I go to make it I look up for your video, best pao bhaji recipe on you tube. This is super easy and convenient. Thank you
I loved seeing a video with someone using the Indian spice mix boxes, I was was always curious, but avoided them because I never knew how they should be used. Thank you!
Huge fan of this channel! Recently moved out of home, and your videos give me the confidence to make good Indian food, with a modern twist. Excited to try this specific recipe !
I made this today!! I did not puree it since I wanted my husband to see the potatoes and cauliflower. Served it with Nan bread and he loved it. Sent the leftover to my daughter and her husband. Will do this again.
I made this dish today and realized it was too large to fit into my 3 quart Instant Pot but not until I had already started making it. However, I was able to adapt it and next time, I will cut the recipe in half. It came out pretty spicy since I hadn't cut the spices in half when I used only half the ingredients. Luckily, I was able to cook up the other half of the veggies in the Instapot without adding any more spices and then added it to the first part that I had placed in a large pot on my stove so that it cooled down the heat enough for us to enjoy it over some Indian basmati rice. Thanks again for a really good dish that will be enjoyed again.
Like it Nice and Very good lime or lemon not necessary in cooking lime or lemon we can try at dining table with Raw onion thanks for your recipe I will try it
Hello Poonam, Your dish looks awesome and I can't wait to try it! Did you get the glass lid with your IP? I have a Power Pressure Cooker XL and I didn't get a glass lid. Also, have you ever done this dish with chicken? I live with a devout meat eater(blush). Thank you!!
+Pacific Blue Hi! The InstantPot does not come with a glass lid so I improvise and use a lid from another pot that happens to to fit. You should be able to do the same. If you visit our site www.instapottinwithpoonam.com you will see we do have a glass lid available for purchase as well. As for chicken in this dish, it would almost be blasphemy haha! Pav bhaji literally means bread and vegetables so I've never even considered putting chicken in this dish. Check our our Butter Chicken and Chicken Kheema recipes for your meat eaters :)
Thank you, got the chance to use my instant pot for the 1st time today. Definitely a time saver, can't wait to see what other recipes I can steal from you!😁😉 hubby was definitely surprised this pot can do it all!
+Desi Chic So great to hear that you used your InstantPot for the first time using one of our recipes! I really hope you'll enjoy many of our other recipes!
I know the difference between the Indian pressure cooker and Instant pot is that we don’t have to wait for the whistles and turn it off. But other than that, is there a difference in taste. Is the one in instant pot tastier than the one in regular Indian pressure cooker?
Hey pop am I watch your cooking series and I went to purchase an instantpot but I saw ultra instant pot and it doesn’t have manual mode what should I use for manual mode
Congratulations on going on GMA. Had to come & look at the video. I'm going to try it. I did not get a good look of the spice in the box. Can you spell rhat for me & reccomend a website to buy it from. Thanks. Good luck!
Poona, I know you mentioned that the recipes were located at another website but I didn't catch the address. Can you please print it out so I can find it, I've been watching your shows in a Poonam marathon. I'm starving. Would be nice if you could add a scratch and sniff function to your videos so all your viewers could share the wonderful aromas. You look like your in heaven while cooking. I'm jealous. Thanks again
One of my favorites also.. Where I live in the USA it is hard to find the spices. I will make a list and next time I am traveling I will get. Where I stay when in Hong Kong is a Indian area so always hungry when walking around. They have the street vendors so a lot to choose from. Subscribed and Favorited so I can make this soon. thanks
a very informative video-- was a little worried about holding th e child so close to the hot pot- maybe show heer off at some other stage of the cooking-- sheis very cute!! thanks
Really appreciate the work you put into this. One critical thing! In your written recipe it says 2 TBSP CAYENNE PEPPER not chili powder. That much cayenne will make this completely inedible! The same error is on the GMA website.
You are more than welcome to add your variations. This was just the way my family taught me, but as I always with our dishes, you can make it your own. Enjoy!
It worked really well for me! It was my first time using Instapot and you made it so easy for me! Now I have subscribed this page and will be looking forward to more instapottin' with you ;) BIG THANKS! I am sure you are making the lives of many Indian women like me in the States easy!
What size Instant pot do you recommend for a family of four? I have seen recommendations for 6Qt. But there are so many 6Qt Instant Pot models. I am lost on which one to get. Any suggestions? TIA.
Thank you for you question! I like the 6qt pot and that works great for my family of four. This is the one that I use and is currently on sale at Kohl's. - www.kohls.com/product/prd-2250189/instant-pot-7-in-1-6-qt-programmable-pressure-cooker.jsp

That's a great way to serve it!

Instablaster...
I finally made this and it was sooo delicious. I don't know why but I had to pressure cook twice for 9 minutes. Will definitely be making again!
We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed this recipe!

Love this recipe. Making it for my Mom right now! You are amazing and never apologize on how you chop up your veg.
Can we add the peas with the other vegetables to reduce a step? Thanks for the awesome video :-)
Nice one suggestion pl may use string veg cutter
This is the first time in my life I’ve legit tried to smell the food 😞 😋
Sometimes we wish the videos could be scratch and sniff
Hello

We have found that the flavors are sometimes even better in the Instant Pot!
Hey pop am I watch your cooking series and I went to purchase an instantpot but I saw ultra instant pot and it doesn’t have manual mode what should I use for manual mode
If you have a pressure cook button, you can use that.
Congratulations on going on GMA. Had to come & look at the video. I'm going to try it. I did not get a good look of the spice in the box. Can you spell rhat for me & reccomend a website to buy it from. Thanks. Good luck!
Thank you! Here is the spice we used Badshaah amzn.to/2uCPl6h
Thank you for the sharing of the family recipes -what a gift I'll be making these dishes
in my new instapot 😀
Thank you so very much for your kind words!
Hi there, what brand blender do you use?
+Dipal Patel Hi! I use this vitamix amzn.to/2uvF22r
Cant wait to make this! Does it freeze well?
If you plan on freezing it, I would burn off as much of the water as possible. This way when you reheat, it won't be overly "wet."
Love it! Thanks for the detailed instructions!!!! Can't wait to make it in my new Instant Pot!! Nilani is the cutest!!!
Poona,

what size is your instant pot?
mvmd just saw a comment answering that
I live in rural Indiana and no Indian stores within hours from us. Maybe in Indianapolis which is 3 1/2 hours away.
You can also but the masala from amazon. I am assuming Amazon delivers to you....just an idea :)
You can purchase the spice here! amzn.to/2uCPl6h
Thanks for showing us , Poonam! I am Looking forward to making this!
+Arun Batchu You're welcome!

We're revising! Thank you!
Fantastic video! Keep it up!

You are more than welcome to add your variations. This was just the way my family taught me, but as I always with our dishes, you can make it your own. Enjoy!

I definitely recommend 8qt instant pot and for four people, you can do lot of PIP cooking.
Is it necessary to use cilantro?
No, totally your preference.
Nice detailed presentation!
Making this! Thank u! xx
I like to add green bell peppers in my pav bhaji
I like the no BS attitude
Cute kiddo 😊
wow so long video
Pav Bhaji Scribed
Your most of the other recipies looks appetizing. But this is not how you make pav bhaji!. Sorry it just not! End of.
I feel uncomfortable if someone uses "dump" word with ingredients while cooking. I will there is no respect to the word dump. Food is like God to us.
