Thank you Oggie. I really learned a lot about weathering. I love how you didn’t leave out any details. Product reference was awesome. I’ll be referring back to these a lot. Boyd would be proud!
So Much Great Info Oggie. It's great that your doing a series on weathering because we sometimes forget what you did in old video's . Especially for us Old Farts that bare getting forgetful 🤣
Lol....I know what you mean. Thanks so much Franco. Yeah I figured this was the best way vs trying to search for the subject matter. I've got so many videos now. Thanks so much for watching. I'll eventually do another one on lighting as a follow up to my previous videos on the subject. Let me know if there's anything in particular you might like to see featured on this segment.
Very helpful, did not know the gloss coat was to help with the seal of the decals. I always thought it was just to help keep the water from the decal effecting your paints.
@@stephenknoll5063 thanks….yeah i used to never apply a routine generalized wash so never gave much thought into how that affects decals. Seems a good watch to keep the wash from seeping in underneath them. Thanks for watching
Thanks for another great 'class'! I have quite a few of the bandai kits, along with some 3d printed scale figures in the same 1/12 scale... Dioramas n such. For yet another opinion, should I remake the kits as solid (ex at joints) or keep them as intended and posable?
@@jasonlambo7896 you’re welcome. It really is a personal choice. I find it hard to pose figures and make them look natural so I just stuck with the one configuration for the shore trooper
Thanks again for putting this together. Do you use brush reserved only for the specific applications, i.e. decal setting, washes, etc.? How do you keep the brushes separated?
You're welcome and great question....I have a separate set of Nico Pro brushes I bought inexpensively on Amazon. They're not bad although I use brushes from Zem brushes for more intricate painting. I actually plan on doing an Academy video on brushes in the near future. As for keeping them separate, I just do my best. The Nico brushes have a unique handle so they're easy to tell apart. Just a comment for the algorithm.
@@robertjensen1438 thx Robert
I find oil paint are the easiest and cheapest washes. Oils are superior in so many ways.
@@horrido666 i’ve tried them and i do think they look great. Just takes so long to dry
