That turned out really fantastic! It definitely would make a good entry into Wonderfest if you can get it there in one piece. That's always the hard part! 😅
Thanks. My wife and I were just talking about that. If i could drive it would be so much easier but with having to fly, I would have to remove all the fighters and figures and reassemble there. Just not sure it’s worth it. But thanks again for your compliments
OMG, OMG, OMG I dont like too much the reimagine series, but the ships are things apart. OMG. I have no words to describe what my eyes are seeing!!!! Its like the diorama would have own life
Well this came at a good time. For the past week or so I've been modeling the viper bay in Unity3D as a hobby project. But I'd been going based off a few old production drawings and some 480p screengrabs at odd angles from the show. The good news is, comparing to yours, my 3D space is actually pretty accurate in proportion and scales. The bad part...I didn't even think about how many bays there were or what the back walls looked like (where the room terminates with doors). This is a very useful reference for me now! I'm too late to restart and focus on such details since my experience is very dark and only the lights around 1 bay are on, but this reminded me to darken the bottom-two concrete block rows on the archway structures. And that the backsides of the bays have the raised surface with pattern. I embellished some other elements for added detail in my 3D version, so it's not screen accurate anymore, but it feels GREAT to play in virtual reality to feel the scale of the space and just how big the Vipers are "in person". Working on many spacialized audio sources now to complete the illusion. Great paint job and attention to detail, this is nuts. I didn't notice the bays being too thin until the end of the video when you mention it though, it still looks fantastic and I didn't think of it otherwise.
Wow…sounds like you have quite the project going there. Glad u find my video and build helpful. Reach out to Don Demers. He’s pretty knowledgeable about the details of this set.
Both your display and your costumes look great and there is very little I may have done differently in a weathered scene. My completely random thought just now would be how this would look from the start of episode one, before the Cylon attack. Zero weathering, bright colours, probably ropes up infront of the vipers (all MK#II). All the tool boxes carefully staged and gleaming, with maybe mannequins in hanger suits. Tour guides and a gaggle of civilians. What a random thought this is!
DANG IT!!!!!!! I KNEW, that there was a 1/72 set of Vipers ( Mk2, 7 & 3), You are SO Lucky!!! 'Interstellar Modeler' huh........might want to check out your Channel!!🤔
Looks frackin' awesome! Well done! I have the same 1/72 MkII Vipers. Just haven't gotten around to building them yet. Hopefully, when I get to them, I'll be a little more prepared in my head to deal with some fitment and alignment issues you mentioned. Look forward to seeing your next build.
Hey Oggie Wow, awesome outcome! So many tips that can be used with any diorama. I have not seen any of the re-imaged series. Are there any vintage Vipers used while filming? Take care 😊
Hi Tim. Thanks so much. Always appreciative of your nice compliments. No, they didnt reuse any of the old Vipers although the Mark II is a huge nod. Thanks so much for watching
Thank you. The original series costume was made by Galacticcostume on Etsy. The reimagined was purely off ebay quite a few years ago and am afraid i dont have the vendors name available.
Another phenomenal build, thanks for sharing. The hard work pays off. I have an order in with cosmic (great stuff!!), but not sure about the shipping timeframe. How long does it usually take.?
Thanks. They’re pretty good at getting stuff out in a timely mannee but shipping internationally can take time. I’ve usually received stuff within 7- 10 days or so? Give or take.
Are you kidding? That looks so freaking awesome! What amazing detail you painted and built!
Thank you very much

Awesome Oggie. Looks fantastic. What a great Diorama. I sure miss that series. Your Diorama makes me want to watch the series again.
Thanks so much William. I ended up watching a few episodes myself while building this project.
OMG, OMG, OMG

Oggie that really is amazing modelling ! thanks for posting

A great final result. I enjoyed seeing all the little details you added including the draped/damaged Mk 7 Viper and figures.

This was an awesome build! I have this kit in my closet and you've motivated me to get started on it myself - thanks for posting! VERY well done!
Awesome. Glad my build has inspired you. Thank you
I've never been a fan of the Mk VII design but you made them look awesome.
Thank you Boyer
Wow very nice 👌 I can't wait to get started on my kits I have 2 launch bays 8 vipers and a shuttle. Your build looks awesome 🎉
Wow that’s going to look amazing. Thanks for your kind words
Spectacular one of your best DIOS dude.
Awesome, thanks so much
Always great detail and incredible work on every diorama you do!
Thank you very much
Epic job! love it! However, just a note Tiirrell's Deck Crew made it look brand new. So the MKII should have no weathering.
Thanks so much.
Wow it looks amazing
Thanks Travis

You are welcome Oggie and thank you for your reply.
Amazing work! You're builds are an inspiration. Just out of curiosity, who did the customs (reimagined and original series) you wore at the end?
Thank you. The original series costume was made by Galacticcostume on Etsy. The reimagined was purely off ebay quite a few years ago and am afraid i dont have the vendors name available.
