Great work Oggie! BTW, the reason i included the color button masks was because i was worried that the paint might rub off if you were to use it in cosplay
Thank you Oggie, another great build video, I love Space 1999, watching the show on TV in the 70s as a kid it was so exciting and terrifying at the same time, looking forward to your next Space 1999 build and Hawks ship, and yes I for one would love to watch a painting video, you are an extremely talented artist.
Yes they made a toy comlock back then they were actually a pair of walkie-talkies in the shape of the comlock, my older brother had a set of them also with the toy stun gun that was actually a flashlight.
Doug is the person that designed the NX-01 for Enterprise. He's top notch. I saw his post of you Diorama there and I thought that was real cool. Getting Nick Tate to sign that Comlock is so cool. That's a keeper for sure.
Yeah Doug is a pretty talented guy for sure. So cool to have heard from him. As for Nick Tate....he was definitely a highlight last year at Wonderfest for sure. Thanks
I just came across your channel... wow- thx for the memories! I grew up with Space: 1999, and it's so neat to see so much love for this show even now! Great to see the old kits coming back out and re-igniting our childhoods! Fantastic work on the props, they look camera ready!!
Loved this build, I had to add a bit of weight to my gun and I noticed in time the comlock screens were also printed on the box if you just wanted to insert them instead! Great build and might revisit mine after watching this 😎👍
Those turned out really excellent! I've always loved the Space 1999 props. I have a resin comlock from years ago that was fun to build but these have been on my radar for a while. Great job as always!
Excellent job. This definitely makes me want to do this kit over. Sort of a silly thing I did with my original build was to add weight to each device. I tightly packed small bags with playground sand and stuffed them into each device along with steel bolts. No rattling or shaking and they feel heavy in the hand when picking them up. I wanted them to feel less like a toy and more like a piece of (retro?) electronics.
Awesome, Oggie, as usual. My Stun Gun had "dimples" or sinks that needed to be filled. And when you say "Gordon," I know you mean "he who does not build, he buys". When talking about the kudos you received for your Viper hangar diorama, I realized we know too many of the same people. 😁 Talk at'cha later, bro.
Hey Oggie This show is so far back in my brain, I sure liked it though. Great job on both sets of models. Take care 😊 Edit: I look forward to watch a video of a painting you are working on.
Hi, Interstellar Modeler, I’m a new subscriber, I’ve just watched the Space 1999 Comlock and Stun Gun kit builds, and in particular the bit about removing chrome from plastic parts, soaking overnight in bleach! I myself have a better solution to this which is much faster. I use a standard drain unblocker and it takes seconds, you can literally watch it happen then rinse your parts in a bowl of warm water. I would advise testing the brand of unblocker first on a piece of sprue.
Thanks for the tip. Are you referring to something like Draino? I actually ended up using Purple Power defreaser which is a little faster than bleach but still takes some time. Thanks for subscribing.
Hi, thanks for the compliments. Yes VodooFX makes a lighting kit for both but check out Artic modeler's videos. He lit his without a fancy lighting kit and goes into detail of how he went about it. Here's the link to VoodoFx www.voodoofx.com/product/space-1999-stungun-lighting-kit/
I'd love to start modelling, but don't know where to start. The thought of airbrushing puts me off a bit. Total beginner, never even made a basic plane kit. Yikes! 😱
Thanks for watching. Try not to be too intimidated. My advice is to start with simple kits in order to build your painting and detailing skills. With painting, most people start with spray cans but I found an airbrush to be much better with many more paint options too. Lots of RUclips videos on how to airbrush and it isnt too complicated. Feel free to let me know if you have any specific questions. Thanks again.
@@InterstellarModeler That's really kind of you. Thanks for the confidence boost. I've thought about a basic Spitfire kit or maybe a car. Interesting you mentioned spray cans. I hadn't thought about those. I live in a small place with nowhere I can use an airbrush. Unless they're battery powered for outside with a box. 🤞
Great work Oggie! BTW, the reason i included the color button masks was because i was worried that the paint might rub off if you were to use it in cosplay
Thanks Lou….yeah that’s a great idea. I just may have to build one more for that very reason so I kept them. Your masks are always so so helpful.

Thanks so much Simon. I very much appreciate your kind words. Yeah lots of great memories watching Space1999 as a kid for me as well.
I have a stun gun disk shooter toy, It has seen better days, but still looks good. Amazing job.
Definitely remember those. Thanks for the compliment
Nice build Oggie, you can never go wrong building a
Space 1999 model kit!!
I would LOVE a Space 1999
Reboot!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much.
4:26 In 1976 they came out with a comlok walkie-talkie set. I had one.
Yeah that's right.....i remember those
Yes they made a toy comlock back then they were actually a pair of walkie-talkies in the shape of the comlock, my older brother had a set of them also with the toy stun gun that was actually a flashlight.
Oh yes...I remember those. My brother had the same flashlight too. Thanks so much for watching
What a coincidence, I watched “Breakaway” the pilot episode just last night.
I’ve been rewatching the show too. The special efx and model work is so exceptional. Thanks for watching

GREAT Job Oggie. Slick and Clean .

Thanks so much. Yeah it’s definitely incredible and I would also say unexpected, that we have these great kits. Thanks for your kind comments
As always, thank you for sharing as the kits look amazing!
You’re welcome Richard. Thanks for watching and appreciate the kind compliments
Love your work especially on something that was a big part of my childhood on TV. My youngerself would totally lost it if I had these way back then.
Thanks so much. And yes i know what you mean. I would’ve loved to have had these too. Thanks so much for your kind words

Thanks so much. Round2/MPC did such a great job with this model. So cool we have these types of kits available. Thanks for your kind comments.
And also...great build! Space 1999 is actually one of my absolute faves! I will show u some stuff soon.
Thanks. Look forward to seeing your work.

Thanks so much. I think you'd love these kits. Pretty nice replicas when done. Appreciate the compliment

Yeah I could see that. People do that with stuff they cosplay with. Thanks for watching and appreciate the compliment.
Awesome work as ever 😊
Thank you

Hi Dale....yep that is the guy Lol. Yeah we probably do know a lot of the same people. Thanks so much Dale. I appreciate the nice comments.
@@InterstellarModeler We'll get together some day, Oggie. Maybe next time you're in L.A.
Great work and video as always Oggie. I'll be taking a few of your suggestions to heart on mine.
Thank you
Lovely build and a very pleasant, nice delivery , thank you, subscribed.🇬🇧
Thanks so much Tony
Ah! So you’re going on vacation to my country? Enjoy Spain Oggie! You won’t be disappointed!
Thanks. Definitely looking forward to it
Cool 🖖
Thanks
Good job with these.
I do think there’s a lack in 1:1 scale model kits. I’m sure the demand is there 😊
Yeah i agree. Thanks for watching and the kind compliments
we need a 1:1 Star Trek TOS phaser. communicator and tricorder!
that would be cool
Hey Oggie
This show is so far back in my brain, I sure liked it though.

@@InterstellarModeler I don't know Draino, guess it's pretty much all the same stuff, it's normally like a clear gel.
Awesome builds! Inspires me to get mine out. How does the dry time on that cement compare to the Tamiya? Thanks!
It’s actually just as fast as Tamiya Thanks so much for your kind words
Just a thought , You should do a Work Space Video.
Thanks, you mean a video about how my work station is arranged?
@@InterstellarModeler Yes , that would be cool. Spraybooth, tools and paints .
Hello to John Day. Come back to Wonderfest.
We'll see. Thanks for watching
Great job on both Oggie!! I'm curious if there is a lighting kit for either or both, if not do you think lights could be added?

So Wonderfest Japan, or Wonderfest Kentucky?
Wonderfest Kentucky

has anyone ever made the gun from Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Not aware of an official kit. No doubt people have made garage kits of that piece. Thanks for watching
