This is a great little quad copter for kids and adults alike to start in FPV. Fun stable and not to fast to really get in trouble with. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to get into quads and FPV. You really should learn on something like this first. Once your comfortable flying this for a while you should then move up to a larger more expensive quad and FPV systems.

I bought this one a month ago, great first quad! it is mine and I enjoy it greatly and the barometer most definitely helps.
minimal flight time 500 mah battery is 8 minutes without camera I flew it hard and it got a full 8 minutes, i got 6:20 with camera.
1200 mah, i got a min of 11 minutes. I have to velcro to attach it to bottom.
the compartment fits up to 780 mah battery and the 1200 will be very difficult to get out and it tends to wobble if you try to fly it.
Shift-Light I got two battery's with my one, I think I just got lucky as it said it only comes with one battery 🔋 but good to know 8mins without camera means I should get 16mins all in. thanks my friend. ✌
Shift-Light can it carry action cam attachment as replacement of the main camera?
Just bought this drone last week $40 on Amazon.I had trouble with the range at first. I found out that if the signal bars are flashing on the lcd it's on the low signal setting. To put it into high signal setting hold up on the tram button directly left of the right stick as you turn on the power. The signal bars will stay solid, and you will get much better range.

I feel like Syma quads never change. This is almost identical to the ones before it. I don't understand why they don't try to do some quality machines as well, maybe a real stable camera quad with gps hold or a sports flyer or a racer.

syma just wants to pretty much stay toy-grade. I'd love to see a syma quad with small brushless motors, similar to the x5c-1 but they just aren't interested in doing it yet because of the cost.

eventually, I think they are going to have to because brushless quads aren't that expensive anymore. some of them are running only for $100, it wasn't that long ago that x5c-1 was around that much when it first came out.

That's a good color choice which is easy to see! I am wondering when Syma is going to go brushless like Hubsan X4 Pro has
although, the altitude hold is a real good idea. Without it on a camera quad it's a waste of money for video and picture quads.
This quad is a good training quad at a reasonable price. I wouldn't even consider WiFi for any kind of FPV flying. I've given up on brushed quads for use in my area because of windy conditions and I went with a brushless quad with FPV, GPS and have had a

I've discovered that when checking trim features, the display on the remote indicates yaw trim switch not working. Would I be right in assuming the problem is likely in the electronics on the quad as opposed to in the switch on the remote, especially since I have had a couple of minor crashes? What is my best course of action to get this fixed?

Morning all, I recently bought the X5SC upgraded version as my ever first drone.
I totally missed to check all the versions, so will buy one more and I'm wondering which one is the newest?
I wanna stick to the X5 as have parts and batteries.
Will my batteries fit? As I've seen adapters on Amazon and eBay, but this one you tested have same battery connection as my X5SC.
And I've seen some 1200mah batteries on eBay, are they really 1200 you think.
And the 3 blade propellers, are they really better?
Hoping for reply as will order any day.
And I do have to say I love my X5SC, crash durable (trust me) and parts very cheap. So stock up on parts just incase :-)

Just got this model in as my first copter, thanks for the reviews. I'm hoping the issue i have is the stock battery because i flew it once out of the box and ran it till battery was low and charged it and next day nothing. So i'm getting batteries in today and hopefully its a small issue.
I wonder if holding down or tapping down the throttle trim would cut the motors too

Yes, you can find aftermarket 3.7v lipo batteries at higher mAh.
have a quesstion when you store the lipo for a week.... for ex. Your are flying on fri then wont fly it till next fri do you leave the battery at a full charge or since i dont have a actuallly charger after charging since flight time is 5-7 .... after full charge run the quad for 2.5 then store? 2nd are we able to use the X5SC Camera on x5hw?
That would be the best way to store at about half charge, yes.
the battery's are so cheap for this i would not worry too much about that, i would recommend a good smart charger for them though so you dont overcharge them and cause the battery to expand. just for conformation i was also told to keep these types of battery's at about half charge for storing them for long periods of time. but as i said they are very cheap which is a relief! happy flying!

I have one like this but unfortunately when i was flying it ,the drone has lost connection.
I got the white & green 1 with 4 spare props & a spare battery inside the drone hidden away lol But I'm watching your video b4 I take her on her first flight 🛩 lol. As I have only got a little parrot hydrofoil drone wich I just burned a motor on. Thanks for the video hard to find one on this model in English also I list my little screw for my receiver straight away as it fell down the back of my 💺 🙈 🇬🇧 you gave me great hope now to go fly my new drone. Both are the same except HW have altitude hold. Easier to play with. Don't hv to control height manually with the trottle
i have this drone the only down side is that the propeller screw caps have fallen off
a good cover all functions video! I learned that you can still fly a WiFi quad without a smart phone because, I don't have a smart phone yay ! :)
I just watched a different unboxing and review of the Syma X5HW and it was the white and green one but the battery plug on that one is different it looked to me like a standard JST plug. Exact same model X5HW but different battery plug's. Have yuo seen this?

can you test what happens when the battery dies?
mine did come with 4 extra props.. also yours has the "OLD" mini losi plug on it which is. WEIRD!!! that was a big complaint on every video I've seen so far that they went to a mini banana style plug! seems like the review models are always missing stuff or the opposite and have extra stuff like on the k70c video yours came with a cell phone holder.lol
