The 2022 Golden Ticket Awards run by Amusement Today created a list of the 50 best roller coasters made of steel, and in this video I am making a tier list of these rides. Enjoy this new roller coaster tier list.

I am one of those people that prefers steel roller coasters to wooden ones. They are more thrilling and enjoyable.
I think 9/10 people do as well

Glad you liked this! I put VelociCoaster in a solid S tier spot but I guess having it below Millennium Force is a take I have that usually surprises people.

Millie is mid, although a few days ago I rode it in extreme fog (smoke) conditions because of wildfires from canada, and seriously it looked like we were dropping into a bottomless pit of fog, and i waited an extra 15 min for the front, thank god i did
I've been on 37 of them. Everything in the US. In August I should be riding 5 of the international ones in Europe (Ride to Happiness, Expedition GeForce, Taron, Blue Fire, and Black Mamba). Here is how I tier the ones in the US:
S (Top 15 overall): Steel Vengeance, Iron Gwazi, Velocicoaster, Lightning Rod, SkyRush, Twisted Timbers, Fury 325, Pantheon, I-305, and Maverick
A Tier (16-35 overall): Mako, Phantom's Revenge, Iron Rattler, X2, Twisted Colossus, Magnum XL-200, Time Traveler, Goliath (SFOG), Candymonium, and Millennium Force
B Tier (36-65 overall): Wicked Cyclone, Orion, Montu, Diamondback, Superman (SFNE), Intimidator, Alpengeist, and New Texas Giant
C Tier (75 and higher): Apollo's Chariot, Shockwave, Raging Bull, Nitro, Steel Curtain, Banshee, Hagrid's (Grading as roller coaster, but do acknowledge the experience is higher for Harry Potter fans), Mind Bender (Was in B Tier before they ruined the ride), Whizzer

Great video! I like your rankings! I'd love to see a wooden coaster list like this depending on how many you've ridden! If you've only ridden so many of them then maybe you shouldn't do it though.

Phantom's Revenge would be in my top 5. One really wild ride! How something that fast and extreme can have floppy restraints that don't restrict you at all is even allowed to run I don't know. You have to try it!
Sorry that you never got to ride Pantheon. I am actually going to ride it again when I go down to BGW. In two weeks not even on Saturday, August 26 and I can’t wait that’s my favorite ride definitely at that park. I feel like you definitely would’ve put it in S tier tbh you definitely need to get down there soon to ride it brother I have the Florida platinum pass. That’s why I am going and then I am also going down to Florida at the end of September so I will be doing hallow scream at Busch gardens Tampa and at Seaworld Orlando. I’m so excited I can’t wait and I also can’t wait to experience pipeline for the first time and of course get much more rides in on my favorite roller coaster also your favorite roller coaster, iron gwazi ❤️
I can assure you, Phantom’s Revenge belongs in the top tier.
Some have said this, I would love to ride it.
I’m surprised that you found time traveler to be overrated. You seem like the kind of person that would be a big fan of that coaster.
I don’t know what to say, it is great but not a top tier roller coaster by any means. There is less remarkable stuff than some say in my eyes.
@@ThemeParkAvenuethe first drop in row 8 and the snap are both elite moments and the rest of the ride is just stupid fun. Your placement stumped me as well. It sits in my top 5

I am glad you called Orion a giga, I love Orion, only giga I have ever rode and it is awesome, calling it a giga is controversial but cedar fair made the giga term and they own King's Island so they have every right to call Orion a giga
After 1 ride on velocicoaster and one ride on millie I found lossie to be next level in comparison
Mannnn you’ve never been on phantom. It’s an S tier for sure. I got a few free kennywood tix from my season pass. You can have one if you can make it down this year. Legit nothing else out there like it.

I personally think Goliath is a better hyper than Dback the airtime is so much stronger and that alone puts it ahead for me. I do love Dback don't get me wrong, but I don't even think its the best in the park.

Listen, I love the Whizzer, probably more than most enthusiasts. and I haven't ridden over 20 of the top 50 coasters (either because they were down when I went, or I haven't been to the park), and I still don't think I could put it in my top 50 steel coasters.
Also looking at the 2022 rankings, APOLLO'S CHARIOT AT 8? What are they smoking?
Millenium, Orion, and Leviathan over I305 No way and honestly RN twisted colossus is a B
tier because it never duals anymore and velocicoaster under Millie 🤯that's wild. Don't get me wrong Millie is a good ride but it's literally just turn then turn then another turn and another turn and a little airtime. Speed is good but it very lacking in elements and gets kinda boring. Drop and speed are there but nothing really else and Skyrush I get the restraints but it's solid everytime I ride in the front on Skyrush it doesn't hurt and when it doesn't hurt it's a S tier ride.
I don’t know what to say, I just love Millennium Force.
