I feel like every time a bassist masters Cliff's solo in Orion we all try to do this afterwards...with varying degrees of success. I totally get why the MoP solo is on there 3 times haha, no wonder youre proud of that one!
As The Ox used to point out it is a bass GUITAR. This means you have the luxury of being able to play it like an upright bass or a guitar or any other way you choose. I once saw a busker in Covent Garden playing a stingray like a piano. It was awesome. As long as you're making the kid of noise you want to make then who cares.
This is good man. People have no idea how hard it is to play this stuff on Bass. Its easy on guitar because the strings are lighter. Yes guitar is easy :P

@halflife909 - The JR345 (or JR346) is the specific TI set that I use. .89 E string...I don't know the other gauges offhand, but they're pretty light. I usually get them from Amazon, or JustStrings

After cover versions of Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera and Behemoth - Conquer all, I'll now try to get as good and fast as you are.. ;-D

@LuchoMazzeo - There's not really a difference aside from the screen size - it's just personal preference. I liked the 15" screen. 13" felt a little too small, and 17" felt a little too big.
I know you use TI jazz wounds. I am curious what gauge you use for your 5 and 6 (when you still had it) and where you got them from. I cant seem to find where to buy them.

This is some awesome stuff. You should throw on some overdrive on in these solos, for a cliff burton effect. It would sound sick.

Maybe he used a set from a 6-string bas, and used the higher strings leaving the low B string.
