The sock modeling im dying 😂 i love how excited you are tackling these new hobbies and your mindset to do it for fun snd not to be good! Im not even a professional artist but I definitely understand the appeal of having hobbies veeeery far from drawing so there’s no pressure. This is a unique video idea and im all for it if it helps you! ❤️ Also ACOTAR for LIFE
this was a freaking DELIGHT! I loved getting to see you do hobbies outside of art and my goodness when I finally decided to stop trying to monetize everything I was doing, it was so freeing 😂 also, thanks for the shoutout, made my day 🫶🥺
thanks for the skillshare free trial link and also i feeeeeeeeeeel the burnout thing/not feeling like its not anything but laziness. I put your videos on in the background while im at work and I always appreciate your honesty and not sugar coated videos!
Thank you for the reminder not to monitize our other hobbies so we won't be burn out in making art. I also have yhay "i can do that" disorder LMAO guilty of that too >< how i wish we have an accessible store where i can buy some yarns physically cos it's sad buying online and receiving/buying a wrong shade of yarn ☹️
Great video! I love seeing you exercising self-reflection, self-care and talking things through……you are on a therapeutic path to avoiding burnout 👍🏼 Happy for you 💕. (I also really enjoyed your D.C. video of sightseeing and drawing everything you ate)!
I genuinely adore you so much... I've never seen someone be so excited to see the desert in stardew before😭😭 I'd LOVE to see more vids like this in the future, playing stardew the same time together was so calming and nice❤❤❤
I’m too dyspraxic to be able to do crochet but cross stitch has the exact same effect on my adhd and anxiety, I start hyper focusing harrrd on whatever I’m making. I love creative outlets where you don’t have to think, I can totally get why so many people love crocheting.
I totally get that whole talk you had about whether or not your burnout is valid. Being in a job that isn't a strict 9-5 or like a really high paying white collar job, it feels weird when you try to bring up how what you do is still hard? A lot of people fail to grasp that yeah we are in positions where we're lucky enough to do something we enjoy, but it's such an inconsistent field where anything could happen and it's all on you or just bad luck LOL But ty for this video because I'm currently struggling making time for myself bc in my head I'm like "well if I have this much free time I should just make stuff for work" when in reality I should be taking the time to put my energy into something for myself ;w; I think I'll start crocheting too bc I've been wanting to do that as well :,)
i've been a huge admirer of your work and it's so exciting to see you get into crocheting!! let me know if you're ever interested in making amigurumi :')
i loved this vide! so cosy to see u doing some hobbies~kinda getting to know u in a new way, which is so so lovely! My first husband in stardew was Sebastian ~hes kinda sweet but also getting depressed being stuck on the farm imo! i enjoyed the little snippets of gameplay^^!
🤣🤣🤣 "my family gets ugly socks !" Those are life goals, to be able to finish one sock or a set .. for 1 person, but you want to make for your family. I get confused crocheting after some time when I pause cos I dont know how to get back at my creation. Me too am forgetful. I always have unfinished business in crochet. I give up. I think you are brave to continue to crochet. I think that, that one sock is amazing 🥰❤️
Love the long form content!!! Im rather new here found your channel a couple months ago when I was looking to get into making stickers now just starting to comment more frequently! can't wait too see more Julianne. and I agree that hobbies gets the mind brain flowing.
This was such a fun video 💗lol I remember when I first started watching ur videos I loved how u swore in them cuz it made it that much more relatable and funny, keep doing ur thing Julianne!
Love your videos. And I will try to be more into my hobbies. Thanks for the little reminder but… what more of a artist can you be than to use a ruler as a microphone handle 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 love you
Sci-Fi politics recs: The Interdependency series by John Scalzi - great light politics Red Rising series by Pierce Brown - the first book is a bit gory/Hunger Games-like, but the rest of the series is like GoT in space.
You should definitely NOT reduce the swearing! It is absolutely fine and if people have a problem with it then they can leave. They don't have to stick around. Why should you change yourself for others? Be yourself, be happy to be yourself. Please don't let others dictate who you are. Stay you! 😊
Can I just say I love this video! Love that you’re crocheting! Makes me want to try making socks 😂 also watching you play pickleball was so fun! I wanted to cheer for you.
I hope you like Dune! It’s a good book in my opinion. It’s one of mine and my husbands favorite series. I haven’t read any more than the first book in the series but it does get a little weird after the third book apparently. But Frank Herbert’s son, Brian Herbert has written a lot of different prequel trilogies so if you end up liking Dune I would check his books out too :).
As an artist too, I think it's super important to promote having hobbies outside of art. I would even go as far as to say that the further from art it is, the better for your brain it will be because it truly allows you to fully d i s c o n n e c t and god knows we need that now more than ever before. I also have that "brain that never shuts off" thing and I also found that manual work, reading a book or gaming are the best ways to distract your brain long enough to stop the constant loop of overthinking that always goes on in the back of your mind. I really liked this video and I love that you keep showing us more fun sides to yourself and a peek behind the curtain of how it really is to exist as a full-time artist. Like, it's not all hustling, fun is allowed too! Can't wait for the next one! (‘∀’●)♡ PS: I got myself a pickleball paddle and some balls because you made the sport look so fun and inspired me to try it as well. Now I only need to find somewhere to play with my partner. Fit booties gang here we come! :)
You’re so right the more different from art it is the better it tends to be for me! And omg I’m so glad you’re trying pickle :) there are usually lots of open public courts around with a “paddle system” so everyone is welcome to play and there’s very little planning involved! Hope you can find a pickle pal soon :)
Unpopular opinion but I think burn out should be normalized and ppl should not feel guilty, it’s part of adulting. Acknowledging it and doing something about it, shows a lot of maturity & growth. Yeah the plus is you set your own hours, but the drawback is there is always something that can be done when it’s Your business, especially when you are wearing multiple hats. Have you considered outsourcing or getting an assistant to help? So you can focus on the creative aspect of the small business?
I love this video! You should do more of this lol! Also same with stardew and ACNH ! K bye P.S. how did I know you were going after Sebastian! The super EMO kid🤣 Ok ok bye✌🏼🫶🏻

I loved this video! So relaxing and it totally reminded me how important it is to balance my own work with fulfilling hobbies.

I love that you're branching out to do some different types of videos! Good job giving yourself some R&R 👏
I had a long art block/ burnout that when I started drawing again, I couldn't remember how to draw. I got scared and so I started watching tutorials 😅
Omg the yips! When I get them I have to look away from art for a bit haha

Your so cute! I love how excited you were with your crocheting. I have been wanting to try it myself. Looks like you are doing really good!
I love books shops..I can hang for hours. We use to have a lot of books stores but no longer.
They’re just so amazing, I wish I had more time to explore in that one
i've been a huge admirer of your work and it's so exciting to see you get into crocheting!! let me know if you're ever interested in making amigurumi :')

Lmao the “disease” of thinking “I can do that”. I also suffer from this condition

Did you get a second monitor?! I see you 👀 I’m adoring the chill and of course I love seeing you work, but avoiding burn out is so important!
i would love to learn how to do pottery bc that looks fun!!! Or make those like clay earrings.... yes I need some hobbies other than what I do!
This was such a fun video 💗lol I remember when I first started watching ur videos I loved how u swore in them cuz it made it that much more relatable and funny, keep doing ur thing Julianne!

to be honest i wouldn't mind seeing gaming videos or like book reviews? or like books youve read recently

your videos are so inspiring! i have them on continuous play lol great stuff
Crochet is so freaking fun! I love making market bags. For myself I need to find an active hobby. I have way too many sitting ones. 😂 Great video!
I would love to have mini prints or stickers of some of the foods especially the sushi as desserts
Everyone loves Sebastian 😂😂😂😂
I love me a sad boy that hates me 😂😂
Hi Julianne! We sent you an email a few days ago! Have you seen it? Looking forward to hearing from you! 💜🥰
Your videos have gotten me interested in learning pickleball! Do you have any reccs for paddles? 😊
Crochet is really good for quieting the mind. You can't worry about other things when you gotta be counting loops and stitches!
Exactly!!! I’m too busy not messing up I have no brain power for anything else 😂
I enjoyed the vlog have a great weekend
Also with the game I’m the same and I know I can’t start a new game or else nothing will get done
It’s tough 😂😂 I think about stardew all day 🥲🥲
Oh my kiddo and are looking at stardew valley. 😄 we hit animal crossing hard back in 2020. 😄
Could you do a bedroom tour sometime???
~Not me playing Stardew Valley while watching this and lo and behold that's what you decided to play too XD
I love stardew 😤😤

if you love building games you should play the sims 4 :) loved this video
Make the chicken that didn't lay an egg into a pie 🐔🥧 (?)
I choose Children of Blood and Bone over Black Leopard it’s not for me. Also LegendBorn is really good if you’re looking for black main character.
Thanks for the recs!! I’ll add them to my next book pick up:)
Are you going to be at sj made on june?

Burnout is normalized. BTW I hate that word. Overused.
So, I see you kept the shirt
Actually though love the video, you can't spell "work life balance" without life!!!
I love this video! You should do more of this lol! Also same with stardew and ACNH ! K bye
