I agree with what a couple of others here have said; lose the back seat for more storage space. Or at least half of it if it is made up of two seats put together. Also a bottle of window cleaner is your friend to carry along. You can clean most surfaces with it and it’s good for keeping the bug splats down - dissolves/loosens them off the paint/glass before wiping away. Thanks for the upload! 👍🏻
ended up here after I went back through old AP Basin video,s. I'm glad I found this channel. Mav is very much more of my speed. way more down to earth and less cringe. I really enjoy the catch and cooks and genuine content not clickbaity and attention-hungry. not that I don't like some of those guys stuff but it gets a bit much lol. the truck rig is badass man. truly living the outdoorsman life keep it up.
Nothing beats a clean and organized truck/car - wether you live full time in it or just use it as a DD. It’s quite satisfying to have a clean truck/car. It’s almost like a new vehicle. I like that you can access the truck cab now from the bed area. Have you thought about a roof box for extra storage or maybe get the stuff you have in the backseat and store that in a roof box, to use the backseat area more like a living room/space to sit and enjoy RUclips/Netflix etc and eat there as well instead of the bed? I think I would use at least half the backseat for sitting and eating there as well as watch Netflix or RUclips
Being able to get to the drivers seat or a “safety appliance” in the middle of the night is a big plus. If there is something going down you can get out of there in a hurry
Another thing that would be good to have would be a bright flashlight. If you need to get out of the area and suspect there is someone near your vehicle, you can use the light as a way to temporarily blind someone while you make your escape.
Nice job mav, loved the video. I am a professional detailed in Chicago and just a quick tip of advice for the bugs is to rub/touch the paint as little as possible. One thing I do is dilute super clean degreaser 4 to 1 and just spray it on let it sit for a minute than power wash it off. This way you are not rubbing the bugs into the paint and scratching the front of your truck. Thansk for the great content!
You should go to Napa and buy a pint of chassis saver, it's a black rust preventer that you could paint over rust on cab corners, itd help stop rust and save what you have left , works great for my truck in Michigan
Simple green all purpose cleaner for carpet upholstery wiping down washing...smells so clean and fresh..lowes walmart home depot about 9/10$ a gallon alittle goes along way..
If or when you detail again, vacuum the biggest parts, then open all doors and use an air compressor and blow everything out from one side out the other door. You can use the air to blow out all the small tight to get to areas. Works really well on the carpets too agitate deep debris.
I can't believe I just spent 14 minutes watching you wash your truck haha. I can't sleep, I'm excited about hitting the lake in the morning for some bass fishing.
Yupp. I’d feel 100x more safe being able to get to the driver seat that easy. I’m leaving in December for SoCal from Michigan, plan to be gone a few months out west. Cheers man
You should do a video where you completely empty the truck out and go take it and have it professionally detailed inside and out and get that thing ceramic coated to add a nice layer of protection from all the road abuse that thing takes.
Hey Mav!, I detail cars for a living, and you did a great job! A suggestion I have would be to use a headlamp and some degreaser, stuff works like a charm on pretty much anything! Typically the headlamp can find almost anything you miss and all the small details. Love watching the content keep it up :)
I need to watch your battery situation and it's power possibilities. So the decking slides between the bed liner and that gives the track for the drawer? The truck looks good. I like your build more and more.
Sorry for the late comment. But one suggestion : if can get hold of come nathalene balls at the store, put few of those on the bed liner and it will keep the entire cabin and car clean really good and keep insects away
I found that Magic Eraser helps clean off the bugs on the front of my truck. Thanks Mav. I enjoy watching you and dream of converting the back of my truck.
Mav idk if you have yet bc it’s been awhile but can you either link a detail video of your truck build or give us an updated version. Like everything you’ve done to have the setup you have bc I’ve been looking at converting a bus but this looks a lot more convenient
You know you like a youtuber when you actually stay and watch someone clean
I was thinking the same thing--esp since I don't even wash my own car!
I know it's kinda off topic but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released series online ?
@Roman Alejandro i use Flixzone. You can find it on google =)
@Jedidiah Kayson Yea, I have been watching on flixzone for since march myself :)
Exactly
Hahahah I love how he covers his plate and then when he drives out of the car wash he doesn’t
yeah the pathetic attempts and then that happened and I just cracked tf up

was thinking the same thing about storage boxes for his roof rack, he has so much empty space up there.
As a guy who actually enjoys power washing and detailing my car....I needed this!
the softsided storage bins are a cool idea. very organized
Being able to get to the drivers seat or a “safety appliance” in the middle of the night is a big plus. If there is something going down you can get out of there in a hurry
i love that he used the term "safety appliance" lol
Another thing that would be good to have would be a bright flashlight. If you need to get out of the area and suspect there is someone near your vehicle, you can use the light as a way to temporarily blind someone while you make your escape.
By safety appliance I assume you mean a 12 gauge shotgun
@@jakelawson5130 Probably, but we have to be careful because of RUclips Hebrews don't like the term "gun".
i love how this is like the only time it’ll be clean again
Well he cleaned it San Diego Oct 5th 2021 so 15 months later 😂
I’ve been watching your videos for at least 2 months now and they seriously have made me wanna go fishing, I never went fishing before but I wanna try
All that trouble to black out ur plates and u forgot on the shot where u we’re pulling out of the car wash
my exact thought lol
Lol
It’s about time bro. I remember when you first installed that cabinet in the back and put all your stuff in it. Great video.
It’s funny, messy situations like your truck would usually give me anxiety but with you it just wouldn’t be the same if you were a neatnik.

Mav you were doing good covering your license plate...but the next clip you drove off and it was clearly shown
Not like anyone can really do anything with the plate number anyways

Nice vid Mav. I think you have one of the better truck camping setups that I've seen. Also good decision going with more high quality stuff...
Dang man that before and after is crazy Id have to say you did a great job as well! I really need to do that to my car so bad.
Great job Mav! Must have been a satisfying job to get done!
The bike tube idea is pretty genius
Make the red bag into the emergency bag, that way there is no mistaken which one is emergency.
YOU ~ ROCK ! !
Looking clean 🧼 💯 About time you cleaned it😂
LOL I was about to comment the same thing
You might want to ask Santa for a small pressure washer for Christmas. It can make your detailing much easier...
5:52 mad satisfying
I like watching camping stuff
What kind of wizardry is this? Entertaining us with cleaning and organizing?! It worked.
The way y’all say the word bag is hilarious 😂 greetings from tx
Try dryer sheets to get the bugs off man, works pretty good!
Enjoyed the “day-to-day” vlog, keep it up!!
I detailed for may years. You did fine and your happy.
I can't believe I just spent 14 minutes watching you wash your truck haha. I can't sleep, I'm excited about hitting the lake in the morning for some bass fishing.
Looks great. Always feels great after finishing a truck clean up.
Yupp. I’d feel 100x more safe being able to get to the driver seat that easy. I’m leaving in December for SoCal from Michigan, plan to be gone a few months out west. Cheers man
Looking good man! Love the setup!
i think you should remove the back seat where the table is. i doubt its used much and it takes up space and adds more weight
Did you clean that stove ? It was looking a bit nasty .
Great looking cleaning job. I try to clean my truck out every few months because i also have dogs that go with me.
Keep On Trucking MaV….. awesome.
Should be cleaning it every month.. Great vid 😎👍

Sorry for the late comment. But one suggestion : if can get hold of come nathalene balls at the store, put few of those on the bed liner and it will keep the entire cabin and car clean really good and keep insects away
One of my favorite youtubers😃
I like that you blurred your license plate in one clip then exposed it while you were pulling your truck up
Aren't those Simms sandals the best? I used to wear Reefs for years, but these are so much better.
$52 is not bad for a Ford pickup truck nice job cleaning it up.
Five star review on cleaning the the home there. A pleasure to wash, sorry watch.
Can you fit through the pass through window?? I’m a big guy so idk if normal size guys can!
