Came down to the comments the second the flutes rose up to see if anyone had mentioned this. It's a really neat detail and I loved the actual scene in the game.
I feel like the guitarist came in thinking that they would just shred like crazy, but the composser pointed and the people on the flutes, and said "go hard"
A clever detail I love about this song is that this is the only Moebius where there's the flute being used. which hints towards the switch-a-roo in early chapter 6
Council M had the best fight out of all of them because of her ability to hijack people's body's. At least in my opinion that is. There needs to be more bosses like this in general for RPGs
She seems to have a penchant for taking over people's attackers and then inflict a TPK with absurdly powerful AOE arts even if the party is overleveled. It's always funny seeing new players try to understand what just happened.

This is one of my favorite musical storytelling moments, as it doesn't come off as weird that M has flutes in her theme because we associate her with Mio, and therefore, flutes. But when you think about it, M has really nothing to do with flutes: it's amazing
What kind of master strategist is M, and master pretender is Mio ? All it takes is seconds for M to do everything, and she cooperate with Mio so perfectly nobody notice the switching. And Mio pretend as M so perfectly it’s scary.
I remember being level 60+ for this boss and still losing, because she takes control of your other Party members and I just got completely overwhelmed I ended up beating her on my third try, she was probably the hardest boss in the game.

@@sleeplessknight173 admittedly Ethel and Valdi are somewhat of a misdirection of how you get other heroes (ESPECIALLY the Machine Assassin class. So glad I was doing tons of side quests during the story)
