As a late diagnosed autistic person literally every thing u say is insanely relatable lol, specifically about wanting to be a freak but hating it at the same time. Its like you know youre strange and want to do it your way so you have control over it, but when you feel like others are getting unintentional creepy vibes its completely different
Its about being weird in a way that still lets you be in the "in group". Comedians are an example of this kind of weird. To have a comedian imply you are an 'other' is literally heart wrenching

I miss you so much Drew. I'm always a mixture of depressed, angry, severely disassociated and depersonalized, just so many things, and since I found you back in the Shane days, you have been my go-to for when I need to be brought back to reality. Sometimes I get stuck making excuses to not go to bed because laying down in the quiet with my thoughts scares me so much. I've fallen asleep to the sound of your videos for years now. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've rewatched them all, I could probably recite some of them. There are a lot of people on the internet who talk about mental health, but you are literally the only one I've ever resonated with. You have put my thoughts into words so many times, and then I read the comments and know I'm not the only one, and I just feel so much less alone knowing there is this group of us here. Genuinely from the bottom of my heart Drew thank you for saving me from so many panic attacks/depersonalization episodes. You are one of a kind

So annoying that they do because it's just so untrue, and I know it must sit in the back of your head. I think there's a possibility you make your voice softer in public to come off as non-threatening (same lol), which I guess could add to it? But still...

I agree, the only thing I can think of is maybe how animated his voice is? My husband is a huge, burly guy but people have commented on his voice being a little feminine for him before and it's always been when he was really excited or passionate about something so his voice got just a bit higher pitched. I still don't think either of them sound particularly feminine, though.

@@drewmonson2 i think it’s because at least from my perspective, you present more feminine energy in ways like expressing more empathy, kindness, sensitivity, creativity and more emotion overall. you definitely have a balance of masculine and feminine energy but i see how someone could pick up more feminine energy when just meeting you. not to say that is an excuse im just trying to give a different perspective to maybe help. all love ♥️♥️

I just got a job for the first time in two years! Have bad anxiety and I’m deaf so it’s hard to find a job that would suit me, like not talking to people at all. Now in a warehouse and I don’t have to talk to anyone! £30k a year too so I can treat myself to clothes or cake or something idk

as a trans dude, every time Drew talks about getting misgendered it is BEYOND relatable. I feel like he GETS it I mean because obviously getting misgendered hurts no matter what, it’s not just trans people. The part where he said “and just when I thought she was gone, she’s back” and that whole bit really was relatable

I'm a tomboy and ģet misgendered so I relate to both your comment and what Drew talked about. It always give me such a deep feeling of shame that shouldn't be a strong as it is, but it is! I’m not even joking, I used to have a reoccurring nightmare of a giant wild boar in my childhood backyard.
8am, haven’t slept, and thinking about how excited Imma be to see more Drew content in the future!! Drew really knows how to paint a picture for his stories. Words so powerful he doesn’t need music overlap and special editing to make him interesting and I think that content like this is rare to come by.

I personally feel like when we get called out randomly for things we are insecure about we should work on the confidence of whatever we’re being called out for, I like to switch it to a positive, you’re insecure about your hair thinning or that you appear as a woman and maybe you need more confidence to cope with it. Don’t know who the dude was but what he said was unnecessary and that should be a wake up call to not listen to these people. You’re a beautiful soul
