    I’ve been with Jb Hunt for one year. With that being said, I’m lookin. It’s hard getting truck serviced because most accounts you work at don’t have a shop or shops near. Management encourages you to use your own money for getting the job done and says, “We’ll reimburse you.” They stopped trading in their trucks so now it’s hard to get one. Most days you have to wait for a driver to get back. They treat your personal phone like a company phone and will just call you all times of the day and week. Almost camaraderie between drivers.
    If you need experience, go to Jb Hunt and then get out.

    I am with Shaffer trucking and I really actually want to leave and go work for another company. Shaffer actually treats me pretty good but I just want to get home more. However, everything I have heard about JB Hunt so far makes me think I should not risk it. Shaffer actually treats me really well. Maybe I should start making videos to convince people to come and work with us instead of me leaving.

      If they treat you well and you like them, I would highly suggest you talk to them about giving you more home time rather than leaving them. And yes. Make videos sharing your experiences.

    How you doing Moses got hired for the bush account drop & hook in Houston texas, my question is I only drove flatbed & tankers so never back into a dock. Only Time I back up is when park at terminal to bring truck back . Will know hunt train me or they will have to hire somebody else for my position?

    • @driversuccess
      @driversuccess  Год назад

      I think it will depend on the demand for the account. How long have you been driving trucks? The reason I ask is because it will be easier for you to learn if you already have some experience. Let them know so they can give you a trainer to help you with backing.

    Hey Moses few questions…Do you have to urine drug test or get hairs pulled? How long is the cdl training program? Could I bring my family sometimes… or all the time there is just 3 of us… and when should I not bring my family?

    • @driversuccess
      @driversuccess  2 года назад

      1. We have both. I think if I remember right, it’s hair test when getting hired, then urine for randoms
      2. I’m not sure how long it is but I think it’s about 6 weeks and depends on how much training you need.
      3. Yes you can bring your family but you will need to let them know and sign some paperwork for insurance. You can bring them any time you’re on the truck.

    Hello Moses I just got finished all the process for jb hunt and I’m going to start in October but I’m currently working for A big company in the food delivery I have free insurance for me n my family my question is Is it really worth it ? I got for less money But I just like the schedule and the flexibility how expensive is the insurance there?

    • @driversuccess
      @driversuccess  2 года назад

      It really depends on every individual’s situation. In my opinion, our insurance is expensive. I personally pay a little over $200 per week for my family’s insurance.
      But I like the schedule and flexibility I currently have. No other company is able to give me that and since family is my priority, it’s what is currently working for my situation and I’m happy with the company culture.

    I would love to transfer to that intermodal account and Haslet Texas. However there's just nowhere affordable to live around there I've looked all the houses are in the 200 or $300,000 are you having to drive 40 minutes to work everyday. I used to live in DFW I was at the steelcase account in DeSoto Texas but I transferred to a different account out of state. I wouldn't mind coming back but the only account I'd really be interested in would be that intermodal account but like I said there's like nowhere affordable to live in that area anymore
