Pusha T is a very underrated feature artist, never seen anyone talk about that. His verses on for example Runaway, So Appalled, Mercy, Feel The Love, Gold Rings, even Don’t Like, Palmolive etc. It is true that he doesn’t have as many features as someone like Lil Wayne, but he does deliver every single time.

I think the 7 broad categories for judging an MC are:
Lyricism: Which contains rhyming, storytelling, punchlines, wordplay
Flow: Which is the smoothness and rhythm as well as the versatility of it.
Delivery: Ability to work with the beat, convey a range of emotions, have a certain energy, cleanness of the delivery, track presence. It is mainly based on the voice though.
Catalog: How good are their albums, how consistently are their albums good, the size, how bad are their worst albums.
Content: What are their best songs, how many songs of theirs could you put in a top 100 songs list, different styles of songs, subject matter and diversity of it.
Influence: What influence have they had on the game in any form, that could be subject matter like 2pac, lyricism like Rakim whatever.
Style: How unique, interesting and just stylish overall an MC is.
All these contribute or take away from an MC’s greatness to me.

I think I would put Denzel Curry or Kendrick for having the best albums imo. Not sure if its a hot take to have Denzel in that convo but I think he's earned it never disliked one of his records.

Comedy: Big L (Not sure if his punchlines are intentionally funny, but a lot of them are amusing)
Most Versatile: Big K.R.I.T (Doesn’t sound out of place over a variety of production from laid back jazzy beats to trunk slappers. Covers a wide range of subject matter, sings some of his own hooks and produces too)

@@donev_ i disagree with ‘more flows’, more entendres, sure, but a majority of them dont mean a thing at all whereas nas has impeccable substance to his songs. Nas also has the longevity factor, being regarded as a top level mc from the 90’s up until today where he is still claiming aoty titles. Nas’ beat selection has also got an edge over ems, i havent rly loved an eminem beat since relapse whereas nas has consistently had good beats since 2018 (the the 2000’s were a rly rough time for his production choices).
Never thought I'd hear Ka mentioned in an NFR video. Incredible artist, Honor Killed the Samurai is one of my favorite rap albums.

Lamar doesn't fit into any particular category, and there's a reason for that.
His work multifacetedly combines the quality of lyrics and storytelling, the conceptual value of the albums and musical content. I think that's why Kendrick is defined as one of the greatest right now - he's just everything that's great about what rap can be. It would be a mistake to label him as just a “storyteller” or a “lyricist.”
In this situation, if we put Lamar into a category, it would be something in the style of “multi-faceted value” - obviously he is not the only one who deserves it, but this is the most suitable category for defining K-Dot.

He hasnt dropped a feature in the last years but he is one of the greatest Feature artists of all time and better than Cole. Look at all those Masterpieces of Songs.
