Thanks for this, I knew nothing about ovens before, got the part on Amazon for around $25 bucks like you said and fixed it on my own, no problem. Appreciate it!
Would highly recommend NOT using impact tool to tighten bolts ... I was cruising through a repair job and used my impact tool to tighten the small nuts and the ignitor shattered into several pieces ...
So if the oven usually takes 12/min to heat to 400°F. However, now when you turn the oven on you don’t get any gas or heat. It just stays at her and 175°F… it has to be the igniter right? It’s one of the newer Samsung ovens… maybe 3yrs old? Little newer than in this video but basically the same thing. The only difference is it has the newer “Blue” digital face instead of the “Green” in this video… any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance was under warranty and Samsung replaced it and it worked fine for about 6/months. I was at work when they fixed it or I would’ve been right next to him asking if he’s using OEM parts. Hi friend. Thanks so much for this video. Hey I have a very old gas pipe system. I don’t want to turn off gas to oven, valve is old and scary looking. Couldn’t I in theory replace this without turning gas off? Oven unplugged of course.
So I found a cheap $20 part on amazon and after a couple minutes and I saw sparks from the igniter and the heating element broke off. I exchanged for the Samsung name brand $70 igniter and now my igniter won’t heat up at all. Am I screwed? Really can’t afford a new oven.
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance not really sure what you mean, are you talking about the circuit breaker in the utility room. I Google searched “resetting Samsung oven breaker” but all I got were videos on soft resetting and hard resetting from the display panel.
@@GeorgeCostosdid you fix it? Any tips mine is at 175°F and doesn’t move… I’m thinking the igniter has a safety valve so it doesn’t release gas if it’s not burning it or something. It has to be the igniter right?

very helpful video does the gas control valve go bad and how hard would it be to just replace both of them at once
There’s a 90% chance it’s the igniter that needs to be replaced 👍
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliancedo you have to turn the gas off first? Is there any issues with the reconnecting of the gas pipe?

Nice Mike,
It should stop for about 5-10 minutes and then light again .
I just Mine did the same thing. Stopped working and then lost all heat. I turned it off and then back on again and after about 15 minutes it reignited
