Love the channel. Shortened version. Bought my first Kiss record at 8yrs old. Got all the 70's albums. Cranked them on my stereo every chance I could. Got Dynasty. Embarrassed 12 yr old me not turning the volume up above 2...Got Unmasked. Left the Kiss fold for good. Anything catchy in the 80s I'd play here and there...only went back to play 70s Kiss...that was it. All the Records T-shirts, cards, all the merchandise...done. Dynasty and Unmasked did that. Could never go back. Nothing was as good as the 70s material.
When I was around 4 years old I got into kiss so bad. Then shout at the devil came out in 83 when I was 11 years old and it was like I graduated and Mötley became everything to me. Love what kiss done and will always listen to them but motley all the way for me. Their first two albums are so damn good
Another awesome episode! I love how you set up the matchups. Epic battle! 🎸🔥🤘🏻Great job guys! Motley’s farewell tour??? You mean another one? Aren’t those guys supposed to be suing themselves for breach of contract? LOL
Really fun episode! I personally have to go with Kiss over Crüe, but you can't go wrong with either band. I can't wait to hear more "Vs." episodes with Metal Mike and the Guru or Ryan.
Cool episode...I enjoyed it, but for me it's Crue...love Kiss but Crue is my favorite band...u guys should definitely do some more of these battle of the bands though...Rock On!🤘🤘🤘
I’ve seen early photos of Cinderella where the label tried to make their image look like early crew, Cinderella told the label HELL NO!!, so crues image was the label
If you go 80s Kiss vs 80s Crue. Its Crue all day. I'd take All Ratt, Poison, QR, Cinderella, Def Leppard 80s over Kiss 80s...if its only Kiss 70s albums. It then becomes a battle.
About to listen to this. BUT…I’ll take Kiss. Motley - Too fast crushes the debut Kiss record IMHO. For me….Motley - Too Fast and the 94 album crushes Kiss IMHO. I think some of Shout is fun. I enjoy a majority of the album but I definitely skip a few tracks. I skip Helter Skelter and Red Hot. I was listening to Metallica - Kill Em All at the time and bands like Motley doing a song like Red Hot just wasn’t for me. However…I’m going Kiss for the rest. Overall, Kiss for me.
@@80sglammetalcast absolutely. And thank you for the content. Loving your vids and The Metal Guru as well. I differ with several opinions but I think that makes it more fun. It reminds me of hanging out with my friends as a kid and just talking the music. We didn’t always agree but that made it more fun honestly. As long as it isn’t in a Jack ass kind of way.
Motley Crue should bow down to the Mighty Kiss. No contest. Lick it Up Destroys anything Motley did. Generation Swine is the worst album of all time from an 80s band. Pure shit
Man, that's rough. I'm a huge 70s Kiss fan. 8yrs old bought my first record "Dressed to Kill" in 1978. I couldn't get enough Kiss. However, I found Dynasty and Unmasked an absolute embarrassment. I stopped listening to Kiss for awhile. Nothing they did in the 80s were nearly as good as the 70s. I still listened Kiss. Just 98% 70s albums. I'd say 80s against 80s I gotta go Crue. Esp the let down of Thyco Thircus. With all that said. 70s Kiss is amazing and not many have Pauls vocals.
You are very unfair to Theatre of Pain. For some reason everyone remembers "Smoking.." and "Home..", but forget "Tonight.." and "Louder..". To me Theatre is basicly "Shout-2". As for Destroyer - yes, it starts perfect, but come on, "Great Expectations" kinda sucks... Also Kiss maybe followed Crue with their 80-s image, but with Asylum they "overglammed" Crue, Poison and D. Lee Roth together! I think it was like "if we gonna follow the trend, we must be the best in it!" And why did you miss Dressed to Kill and R'n'R Over? I think Over is even better then Destroyer. I think comparing "Crue'94" with 80-s Kiss is unfair. The more propper comparsion will be "Carnival of Souls", and it blows compered to Crue. I disagree with you on a lot of things, but I liked the discussion! Overall I'm a huge fan of Crue, but I prefer Kiss just because there are much more Kiss albums that I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a song (most of them are from Karr/Kulick era).

Loved the episode! Peter is why I started playing the drums, so he'll always hold a special place in my heart. And Livewire is my favorite Crüe song.
Thanks! I love Peter too….but Tommy is a monster!!!!

First two Mötley are superior to the first 2 KISS albums!!!!

Thanks Eddie🤘🤘🤘that’s right😂hey maybe KISS will come back a 3rd time and tour again with Crue? 😂

Glad you enjoyed! Definitely we’ll do some more

Thanks Jay! Glad you enjoyed. We will definitely do more🤘
Kiss was a 70s band by the time Crue came out kiss was on there 10th anniversary tour so there not really comparable but love both bands!
The Ultimate VS. should be Maiden vs. Priest, with the winner taking on Ozzy
I’ve seen early photos of Cinderella where the label tried to make their image look like early crew, Cinderella told the label HELL NO!!, so crues image was the label
KISS hands down
KISS
Atleast Gene actually played on the KISS records 🙃
Kiss no contest

Too Fast is probably their best. Hard to compete with that one

@@TheMultiStanKpopFan Thanks glad you are enjoying the vids. Yes it’s definitely like bullshitting with your buddies about music back in the day😂🤘

Glad you enjoyed! Yes, “Great Expectations” blows😂🤘and “Use it or Lose It”, “Save Our Souls”, and “Fight For Rights” all kick ass!!!!
i'll take corabi crue over both.
Ha ha we didn’t forget mr Corabi in this episode 😂
