I have both the Casio watches. I do also have a weekender from Timex. One thing I love about the Timex Indiglo is that beautiful colored backlight in both their Digi and Analog watches. The A1200 (a.k.a The Casio Royale) is an awesome watch except for that pale amber backlight which just begs to be changed by Casio. The AE1500 had one of the most legible displays in this category, it again has a pale amber backlight but this one is slightly better because it has dual LEDs. However, this watch since its launch is notorious for extremely poor belt quality. The belt will wither away even if you don't use the watch too much.
