    mine has a red bottom, but looked inside the same. I did drill it out, so the angle of the top part is flatter than the bottom pin. was 50 Euro on Aliexpress.

      Hey buddy!! It's OK, you are a busy man. It takes all of your time just keeping up with those kids on the zip line. LOL I'm dealing with a bad back but I try to put a video together when I can. When I don't feel like doing anything I just sit in my chair and watch your videos. I'm still waiting for the water slide project. :) Stay safe my friend and take care of those kids.

    I've never seen one of those balancers before, thanks for sharing. Glad the weather is picking up. Been the same here in Ireland, its been hard to do anything. Looking forward to more videos! 😊

    I modded the old version with ball bearing in cavity and "flat" setup with washers and flat piece on the "point part", to preserve the tip incase it didnt work. Its so sensitive, that i can push it like you did and it moves for over 2 minutes! But with weight of wheel it's reasonable time

      Do you know of a vid showing these modifications you speak of? I saw a few but nothing like what your describing. I appreciate any help you can offer.

      @@mygt8a4re I did not see a video, I just thought of the part protecting the point. Just stacked some washers up around the point until the point is below washers then cap that with a flat piece of Steel. You could also use a socket with a cap on it. Then hot glue a 3/4" ball bearing inside the upper part that the tire actually sits on

    Been finding that HF tools seem to have upped their game lately - have a couple Bauer tools now, Titanium welder - stuff like that. For us homesteaders, the stuff is pretty decent. And, when the Kohler gives out on the Woodmizer LX25, will definitely be upgrading to the HF 14hp engine. Thx for the review!

      i have a bauer cordless drill, and a milwaukee. Milwaukee is definitely better but i keep the bauer around because overall it's a nice little drill i can't bring myself to get rid of it.

    I have a 16" wheel. The Amazon $60 one I recieved seemed to be the same quality as the HF one. I purchased it in 2024. It says it can only balance a 15" wheel, but the 16" wheel still fit on the balancer. Does the HF one balance a 16" wheel?

    still stops to quick. needs to be reamed out like the others. it should move for a long time more than a minute or so. did you use the tire changer? im debating on one.

    • @DoubleMFarmHomestead
      @DoubleMFarmHomestead  Год назад +1

      Camera is deceiving, I didn't film it all, it moves a long time. so far has worked great on tires for three different vehicles. Yes, the tire changer works very good. You have to practice with it but it was money well spent. Has saved me a lot here on the farm. Thanks for watching.

    Are all black based balancers better than the red ones ? It's fact??? Have you used the red one?

    • @DoubleMFarmHomestead
      @DoubleMFarmHomestead  Год назад

      Not sure I understand your questions. Did you listen to the video. I said HF has a "new" wheel balancer with a black bottom that cost more than the red but seems to be of better quality. Have I used the "red" one you asked, yes, yes I have. I know nothing about any other "black based balancers". This video is about the HF one. Thanks for watching.

      It's better for harbour freight because it cost more. But seems just like the red one to me.

      @@shaysingletary98 No, I've used both and this one seems to be of better quality than the red one. Just my opinion. Thanks for watching.

      3:59 it stops after 4s lol I changed my mind. It's the same ole design. It needs to be modified. Once corrected it should move freely for over a min or more.

    Checked my balancer with a dial indicator. It was off center by .0175". Plus it had a whole bunch of other issues.
    Hope you have a good one, some people get those.
    I've been trying a couple of different alternative methods and I'm kind of liking this method, which seems to produce pretty good results. In fact just used it to balance a pair of Silverado wheels, with a couple of hub centric rings.
    ruclips.net/video/JvN4i-qJqMs/видео.html
    The whole setup for me was cheaper than the bubble balancer and can be built by anyone who can cut and drill a piece of wood.
    Caveats:
    It is important that the base is as level as you can get it.
    The CG of the wheel assy has to be below the ball CG or it will be unstable & un-balanceable.
