Pure defender. Reminds me of me in my amateur days. I learnt tackling watching Marcel Desaily. Its a combination of reading the game ahead of your opponent, raw speed, commitment and precision to the tackle. I absolutely loved it and preferred good attackers to play up against. Only reservation with K is that when the speed goes with age, so does the precision. At some point it becomes more expedient to stay on your feet and see out attacks which on its own requires different qualities. Koulibaly definitely should be winning the games biggest prizes. He is a phenomenal defender. Helps when you can play a bit too like he can.

Excellent signing for Chelsea. In my opinion Koulibaly is an upgrade on Rudiger despite being 31. Let's not forget Rudiger was poor before Tuchel arrived. He had about 18 brilliant months at the club but before then he struggled to even get in the team. Playing Tuchel's system suited him, but he never looked as assured when playing in a back 4. His reputation was inflated massively and I don't believe he will live up to expectations at Real Madrid. The notoriously toxic fanbase will turn on him if he isn't flawless.
