VAR award the Goal bcos that initial touch comes from Toni kroos, if it's from a Korean player that would be awarded as offside.

As a Korean, the moment Son scored, I couldn't help but cry. I admit that Germany was with bad bad luck. But the Korean players definitely showed their commitment. They never feared to dive into the ball even after the ball hitting all their bodies so many times. I'm so proud of them.

Simple Korea represented their country to the highest of standards they played as though they had something to play for their people back home and fans all around the world.

I remember this game, the Korean players were happy because they won this match, but unfortunately they needed Mexico to win against Sweden, but Mexico lost against Sweden, being eliminated from the Cup, Korea and Germany. It was a happy and a sad moment for Korea. That's why you can see to Heung-min Son looking sad in the thumbnail, despite their big victory against Germany.

@@Blackedward No. They would have needed to actually win the World Cup to avoid military service. Getting to the round of 16 was not enough. Luckily Korea won themselves another cup in 2019 to save Son from the military service.
What are you guys talking about? World cup does not grant military service exemption. Only matches that does provide military exemption are Asian games and Olympics. This law was made back in 60's when SK wasn't known to the world so the government wanted to promote SK to the world. This law is so outdated and needs to be updated.

I remember watching this match. All of my friends were betting against S. Korea. We were drinking and so with some alcohol courage I was the only one betting against Germany.
