Doesn't help if the wifi signal doesn't show up on the list, despite numerous attempts to connect the extender. Every other wifi signal is listed with the exception of these two. This extender constantly looses wifi connection every 24 hours, yet everything else in the house works seamlessly. ALL other products connect, and stay connected, with the exception of the RX700 range extender. I constantly have to start from scratch every time it disconnects. I have to reset it to default factory settings and then reconnect it, this takes approx 15-20 mins every time, from reboot to connecting. When I do it this way the TP link wifi shows up on my wifi list, and works again (for 24 hours) it then loses the signal and when I try to reconnect it tells me I have no internet! and loses connection, as I can't connect to the required wifi! My RX700 range extender worked fine for 5 months, with no problems (I bought it online in late Jan this year) and now, in July, it keeps losing the signal. Every single day! I've followed all the advice - trouble shooting info, videos etc. and it still fails daily! Now I have to faff about to get it to work, as it's used primarily for the rear of the house for the required wifi and the external home security cameras out of range of my actual router. Now looking at a new security system (hard wired) and a better and more reliable range extender for items that need wifi in the rear of the house. Cost me £70 quid, and it feels like it's gone down the drain with this item
Hi! I want to buy this extender, but I have some questions. Can this extender extend a non secured wifi network (without a password) and make a new secured network with password? My current extender can do this (Tenda A9), but it's a total crap product...
can this device broadcast multiple SSID? i mean like, i use this device to get SSID "A", and broadcast it as SSID "B" and "C" (both at 2.5 ghz frequency) ?
My TP link extender gets really hot, It gets as hot as 108 degrees Fahrenheit. is this normal for it to get so hot? I feel like I need to shut it off when I'm not using for fear that it will catch fire. does anyone else have this issue?
I can't connect my laptop, phones work fine. When I try to connect with my laptop it asks for an 8 character PIN. My network password is 10 characters long, but only allows me to type 8 in.
i tried it wireless and it wasn't that good, can i connect it by wire????? cuz there is a place for wire but i don't know if it's possible to do it? my device ac2600 the same of the one in the video
Well, I am curious still, but this won't do for me. The manual at static.tp-link.com/2019/201903/20190306/RE305(US)%203.0%20Datasheet.pdf says the ethernet port is only 100Mbps and my internet is faster than that. Will keep looking around I guess.
Per the instructions that came with the unit for method 3 (WPS) it says to press the button on the router first. Your way is the opposite. Something is screwy.
No tech reply back im seeing .i wana jus use wps way .im dwnstair in apt in pvt hse router is upstairs .i stream frm upstair router wifi wud this work. Wat bout the ac 750
1. Not loud enough. Even with my speakers set to 100% I can't hear you. 2. Nothing on that screen matches reality. The web page is different, the process different, it's totally useless.
My newly purchased RE305 worked fine when 2 feet from the wireless router. 15 feet was too far however. Red signal LED. In other words a useless device. Now back to the store for a refund and to buy 50 feet of CAT-6 cable.
After i setup my tplink extender WA860RE and i want to connect using the ethernet lan port,it connects to the router's name not the wifi extender.I really need help.. Thanks
Hi,did you mean the Local Area Connection shows the router's name? you may have connected your device to the router ever, when you connect to RE,the gateway is still the router ,so your device shows the router name. You can go to network and sharing center to click the network icon to change the name.
The tp link wifi extender is one of the best product in the market. Very good and easy setup. Worked well. Thank you very much.
Great video. Thanks for giving the non-music option. It's much clearer.
Great. The wps button method is the easiest 😊
Thanks for a well detailed guide. The second method got me up and going. Take Care.
i guess it's kinda off topic but does anyone know a good place to stream newly released series online?
@Quentin Kian I watch on Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Ephraim Alonzo Definitely, I've been watching on Flixzone for since april myself :D
@Ephraim Alonzo Thank you, I went there and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it !!
A mi ninguno... éstoy que me da algooo😭😭😭😭😭
Great! Thank you!
But how can I change the password of the extender
Thanks
If I use same SSID as my existing wifi, Will I see two WiFi with same name OR Only one wifi SSID with extended signal range ?

What is the ssid when using the WPS method?
You didn't put in any form of password. How do you just conncet. Mine requires a password in order to use the app
I can't hear. My volume is on full and it's too quiet to hear.

My current extender can do this (Tenda A9), but it's a total crap product...
will the extender (using the WPS method) use the same SSID as the router?
Good question. Shame there's no reply - even two years later.
can this device broadcast multiple SSID? i mean like, i use this device to get SSID "A", and broadcast it as SSID "B" and "C" (both at 2.5 ghz frequency) ?
can i connect TP-LINK RE200 AC750 range extender with another TP-LINK RE200 AC750?
how many users can connect to repeater at one time? can it be up to 50 users?
How are you expected to connect to extender without a password. This is to use the app method

so change the pin
I tried all methods but after setup when I try to connect to my extender, it says failed to obtain ip address
Have you solved it? The same happens to me.
i tried it wireless and it wasn't that good, can i connect it by wire????? cuz there is a place for wire but i don't know if it's possible to do it? my device ac2600 the same of the one in the video
I have the same question. Did you get a response? And have you tried it? (I am checking the manual now)

Shit product I’ve tried every method and it still wont work
I have successfully completed the setup via the browser. However, I have no connection to the Internet. It is desperate. Am not satisfied.
this happened to me also
I cant find it as a wifi network?
