Lovely walk - did make me laugh on parts of the walk - strolling along all tranquil and beautiful then Paddy bounds in to the picture! He's the star : )
Wow did I see a german bunker at the beginning of this lovely adventureous walk tom? . A lovely walk yet again and what beautiful views,.thanks for posting tom
What a glorious January day!. Beautiful As always. Hope the new hospital doesn't come with too many more problems. Weather Looks so much better than what i was forced to return to here in America. Snow, ice and cold. Ill be back. Thanks again for bringing us all along.
Hi Robert, yes we've had a couple of nice days but today wasn't good and the forecast is not promising. I think you mentioned that you would be back in a few months time......so hopefully we will have some better weather for you! Jersey is hard to beat when the sun is shining! ☀️😎👍🏻
😮 wow Tom and Paddy 🐕🥩🦴 g i remember you 🎥 this path the boys have done well clearing the debris fallen 🌲 when do they start building the New hospital tom ? Its a beautiful walk down here my friend well boys thanks for the wonderful stroll All the best John 😊😊
Hi John, Paddy and I had a look around Elizabeth lane for the Madeira Restaurant this morning on a scouting mission, but no sign of it. I will have to chat to some of the Portuguese locals to see if they can point me in the right direction! 👓🚶🏻➡️😕 I don't think they will be dragging their feet with construction of the new hospital, so I presume it will start fairly soon! 👍🏻
I enjoyed this walk through the park and nice to see the blue sky but probably a bit cold. As usual the Jersey states always seem to take along time to debate where the new hospital was going to be. So glad Jersey will get a brand spanking new hospital. A good friend of mine worked at Overdale for many years as a chef before moving on. Played yesterday Tom in wonderful sunshine 24c sorry to rub it in. A singles stableford and shot 35 points should have been better as my putting was terrible, but still can’t complain. Hope you are getting in a game. Cheers 🏌🏻♂️& 🐕🦺
Hi Ted, well played again. We have been lucky recently, dodging the worst of the weather. I have been playing much better even though it has been windy and freezing cold. 39 points yesterday........went out in 40, missing a putt of less than 2 feet on nine for 39 out (we do not do gimmees). Can't be bad! 🏌🏻⛳
Tom, in 1963, I was driving over an unmarked steep hillock, WHAM!! was hit by a car speeding on a wide street, which I had instantly crossed. Hospitalized for a few weeks.( After the incident the officials quickly put a danger sign before the incline.) Your mention of the hospital put this in mind. My poor mini-van was wrecked, but fortunately a few bruised ribs only, painful but minor. I am not sure I should thank you for this memory, what do you think eh? (Smile.)
What a shame about your camera, Tom😮. Enjoyed that walk and seeing Paddy's new friend! I think that was a Shar-pei but I may be wrong! I wonder how long they will take to build the new hospital.
Hi Sheila, I think you are right about the Shar-pei, he's a lovely dog and Paddy always seems happy to see him.....then Paddy barks at him! Still, at least he's not a squirrel! Every day at my place Paddy spots squirrels on my garden wall and he just goes crazy! 😁
Jesus, it looked to me like someone spent an absolute fortune renovating that old house Inbetween the Crematorium and the Overdale entrance… looks like after buying it they've just demolished it completely. What a waste!!!
Hi Mungo, yes indeed. They spent many months doing up what I believe was two cottages although it might have been one. They had only just completed the renovations when they were demolished! What a waste of money huh! 😕
@@thereluctantoutdoorsman Absolutely. Can't help but be a little sceptical though and wonder if it was done by the owners to increase the value pre-purchase… still, I would have liked to have a look inside before they levelled it!

Hi Brian, yes it is definitely a German structure of some sort at the back of West Park! 👍🏻
yes it is an observation bunker and there was also a platform for a Flack 88 at 14:09
Thanks Jean......it is good to have you here to fill in all the gaps in my knowledge! 👍🏻
@ thank you. I love local history and even worked for Jersey Heritage for a couple of years.
Brilliant Jean, your knowledge shared with us all in the comments is an asset to the channel! 👍🏻

@thereluctantoutdoorsman my friend's wee pug is the same with squirrels, he literally tries to climb up trees after them🤣
