Thank you for the video, Alana. I truly appreciate your in-depth analysis of climate change and your eloquent explanation of communalism and social ecology. It's evident that you've put a great deal of thought and effort into your work. While watching, I couldn't help but reflect on the significant challenge we face in altering human behaviour as we strive to combat climate change. I hope we can meet that challenge. Thank you for your wonderful video.
Aw thank you so much! It really makes me happy that people are still watching my video and enjoying it even though the RUclips algorithm didn't want to recommend it :( Altering human behaviour is definitely a challenge but I think most people are community-minded at heart, if we reshape the systems we live it and make it easier for people to live and thrive, we will see that people will take more care of each other and the planet!
@@solarpunkalana I'm sorry RUclips didn't push your video more. It's a very important topic. I'll share your video around and hopefully you'll get a few extra views.
Be careful, people will start calling you a communist for not wanting the world to be on fire. Great video and excellent points. Currently studying environmental science and all this makes a lot of sense, specially why we shouldn't over-rely on technology to fix our problems
Thank you! I hope your studies are going well :). Haha, I'm not scared of anyone calling me a communist - after all, they probably don't understand what the word really means!
@@solarpunkalanaI congratulate you for these words of yours and I fully agree with them but unfortunately there are still few of us who have this environmental sensitivity. I hope what you said opens a few more minds.
Do you have any papers to put numbers behind your claims or are this just vibes? Imma make a start: Community farms are at best as carbon intensive as industrial agriculture and most of the time they are downright worse. The study that came to that conclusion is titled "Comparing the carbon footprints of urban and conventional agriculture" published jan. 2024 (tried to include a link in a comment but it went straight into the spam filter so the title gotta do I guess. You'll be able to find it) Not that it really matters since I doubt most people want to go back to what is essentially subsistence farming (you can dress it in nice words but that is what you are describing). It's a fantasy and if any politician tried to force it on people I'm pretty sure they'd get lynched once the reality settles in.
Wild world sent me, and glad he did very interesting video.
Thank you so much!!

Thank you! Yes, community action is so important :)
Do you know The SF writer Becky Chambers ?
Yes I love her series ALWTASAP!
Your idea about the type of society you want seems great. I don’t know if it would work.
