Saltwater BFS - LRF - Light Rock Fishing
Grabbed my trusty BFS Combo (Guying Teton TTC662L/Tsurinoya DF50) and headed for my local harbour with the hope of catching a few more smaller saltwater species. Spooled the Dark Wolf DF50 with 50m of Majorcraft Dangan Braid #0.6 8Strand 5.2kg/14lb. Come join me as i catch some good sized fish that tested my setup to the limits. Saltwater BFS is another way of Light Rick Fishing or Ultralight lure fishing. It all comes under the umbrella of finesse fishing where we are trying to present our lures in as natural a manner as possible.
Cheers

Gotta love it when the rod tip practically touches your elbow!
Enjoyable viewing again mate
Think I pushed it to its limits. Strange as the rod is softer they are not sure what is happening at first, then as you put the pressure on they go ballistic
These infos really help us develop bfs in salt water adapt and develop skills 👏🏻
Cheers mate. Keep pushing the boundaries
In comparison to you lads, I'm still pretty fresh to the BFS scene but threw myself in the deep end by fishing saltwater out here in Dubai. Needless to say I've managed some insane specimens! And this is partially thanks to you mate as your videos helped me choose my set up (also using the Kuying and Tsurinoya Dark Wolf Ultra :D).
Fantastic to hear mate. That will do for me. Helping other anglers is what it all about to me. Must say I’m jealous of the fishing you have out there.
@@TheConstantAngler yeah I know what you mean! All I want to do is help educate about fishing and the importance of Catch and Release out here. I'm a Conservationist as well and overfishing is a huge issue here. Gotta teach somehow haha. And get out here then and I'll show you around 😁😁
Awseome video. Texas rig is an awesome bait. Bedst regards from Denmark 🇩🇰
Cheers Ron. Thanks for your support
Great video Adrian u gradually coming around to the lerfing side of things lol
Great sport mate. As strange as it seems I want to catch smaller fish as those Ballans really beat you up!
Great video. Heading there myself next week to introduce my friend to lrf. Hopefully get some nice mackerel on the metals and a couple nice wrasse like you caught would be lovely.
Let us know how you get on
Clips I use are the mustad fastach, and VMC crank bait clips.
The VMC ones probably wouldn’t suite BFS though.
Will check them out. Heard good things about both
Thanks Mate, good video, wouldn't worry to much about the ceramic bearings, Ceramic doesn't rust and the races are stainless so, a bearing removal and wash out with clean warm water every few trips should be plenty. I would find the level wind mechanism to be more important and that can be sorted with a spray of WD40, original not the ptfe version, and a drop of oil every trip. Just for interest the Original WD40 is made of fish oil and PTFE is very poisonous to fish, even in minute ammounts.
Cheers mate. Good advice.
Awesome video, would like to see some more of these, have u tried using a metal jig because I found lots of mackerel there near the bottom
I did but they weren’t about at the time. Not so many fish about that day.
Dark wolf ready for salt water bro?
It appears to be. No problems so far. Great reel
@@TheConstantAngler tks bro 👍👍
