That seems a little low for stage 2 ? I have 428i stock it’s 245hp I would assume a stage 2 on a 420i would be 300 hp at least and maybe 470nm of torque ?
420 N20 Engines ain't that strong. Plus I needed to change the plugs and coils to get that extra. 428i and upwards has a stronger block which can handle more. Check with most remmapers it's around the same figures for a 420.

Hey thanks for the comment. Much appreciated😊👍. You should be able to but you might need an upgraded intercooler but just ask the tuner and see what they say.

I wouldn't say you get a lot of drone. It's been fine just a louder cold start.

How will this affect the MOT?
It shouldn't affect the MOT but every garage is different. Some will past it as it's just freeing up air flow.

Hey, thanks for the message but to be honest. Try get a different model 4 series the 420 is prone to having a weak engine. The pistons ain't as strong so maybe a 428i or up maybe better also to hopefully get clos to that 0-100kmh time. Unless it's a newer model in good health you may be able to push it. But best advice get a better engine rather than the N20 which is in the 420

It could fail but it can also pass. Depending on what is been depositing from your engine/exhaust etc. Some may pass it and others fail. Plus it's a quick change if you really do need to change it over for MOT

Hi mate, have you got any rough stats on your mpg before and after the stage 2, looking at getting a 420 myself just trying to figure out if I get a diesel or petrol. Wondering what the mpg is on yours after your stage 2 👊🏻
Hi bro, if you are getting a 420 go for the b48 engine not the n20 as the n20 is a weak engine in the 420. Before mpg was mid late 30-40s
The stage 2 only affects it more if you are driving with your foot flat down. So averaging 28-34mpg

@@kaishepherd9651, anytime bro. Yeah just find out before you buy or check online which engine it has. The n20 is only really good for stage 1 with upgrades etc. Like decat, exhaust, intercooler and maybe induction kit. As you'll need more cold air in etc. Have a link for intercooler on my other video. A guy called Mat. Plus you'll need ngk spark plugs, maybe coils to. If you are on Instagram follow me @Y3SPN

Thanks bro. 👌🏾. These N20 engines are weak. The engine died within that same week. You defo need to upgrade your spark plugs to NGK and coils if possible.
Got a reconditioned engine fitted still have the decat and a stage 1 number with pop's and bang. I think stage 2 is pushing it for the 420i if it's the 428i that engine is apparently better. But engine needs to be in top form. Check out my Instagram: @Y3SPN

Realy nice car bro! I have a F36, what mods can you suggest? I have stage 1 tuned and stage 2 xhp flash tuned. Also valves installed. But looking for more agression sound, would you suggest a catless downpipe?
Thanks bro😊. If you haven't already got the m performance mods do those. Also what color is your car. Yes defo catless and a pops & bang tune. What about a induction kit it helps with the sound a lot. Down and up shifts etc.

Diffuser is from fast lane Styling or ebay and the side rear splitter is from Maxton design and the side rocket splitter from ebay.

@@joshuasherwain getting quotes of £700-800 more than the 420i. Generally wouldn’t be a problem but I’ve set a budget and don’t want to exceed it
Also 428 only available on pre facelifts. As I’m getting a gran coupe I’d prefer the facelift as it has much improved suspension. Pre facelift gran coupe drove a bit too boaty
