Yacht Restoration - Anchor installation - Vlog 9

My family and I sold everything and went on an adventure to Florida to chase our dreams. This idea was inspired by other RUclips channels such as; Sailing Zatara, La Vagabonde, The Wynns, Uma, Delos, Soulianis, Nandji, Salty mermaid, YBS Youngloods and Kara and Nate. Where a family went around the world on a catamaran navigating through different countries and places you can only reach by water crossing the oceans and seas. So, we bought this beautiful 2016 Azimut 50 Atlantis from insurance auction that has been neglected by the previous owner, with plans to live on it after it is complete. We may charter or sell it in the future as we find new adventures. It has some components missing such as; GPS screen with engine gauges and radar with antennas. Some LED lights and speakers were missing. Most of the items are rusted and dirty. The twin Cummins 8.3L diesel engines are good but need everything around them. Also, needs some touch up paint, bottom paint and some gel coat.
Planning to do some island hopping around Florida Keys do some snorkeling and fishing and maybe one day do a trip to the Bahamas.

You need a 5:1 scope on your anchor. Meaning you need 150 feet of chain for a 30 feet depth. You need 7:1 in foul weather

Toilet bowl cleaner (I use Clorox Clinging Gel) will help clean up all the stains on the white gel coat with minimal scrubbing. Do it just like you would a toilet, scrub it a little with water and a semi-soft bristle scrub brush, and the white areas will come out looking almost new. I use it a lot on dirty white hulls and keels, and they always come out looking amazing.
