    just a question I just got my sandstone block cut and layered ontop of my brick wall at the front of my house.
    The surface is practically new clean and dry should I go ahead with a pH stone cleaner/soap cleaner or should I go ahead with the Sealer onto the dry sandstone surface and let it set outside in the sun and wait for 2nd coat afterwards?
    I do know Sandstone is porous soo by washing it with a cleaner it's going to absorb that chemical solution solvent which therefore could affect the sealer end results and drying effectiveness yes? 🤔

      Once it is clean and dry, yes, we would suggest applying a sealer, 2 coats within a couple of hours of each other would be recommended. Hope that helps. Josh@Smartseal

    Hello there, Which product I can use to seal my brand new limestone with not change it colour? As I don’t want polished finish either a darker colour tone. The ideal will be the same matt finish as it is now.And can I only use roller to seal it as it is not a huge area. Thanks!

      We have a 'dry finish' Natural Stone Sealer (sample available) That will not change the appearance, but will protect against the elements and staining. Hope that helps. Josh@Smartseal

    Can this be used on unglazed clay/terracotta tiles?

      Yes, it can Megan, but we would suggest trying a sample (available through our website) on a test area 1st. Hope that helps. George@Smartseal

      @@SmartsealUk In how much time should the 2nd coat be applied before drying up? The weather at my place is hot and dry.

      @@rithikashah1665 the 2nd coat should be applied within about an hour of the surface becoming 'touch dry' hope that helps. George@Smartseal

    Does it matter what type colour sandstone ?

    • @SmartsealUk
      @SmartsealUk  4 дня назад +1

      The type of sandstone can vary the coverage rate, due to its porosity. Polished sandstone cover rates are generally higher. The sealer itself is suitable more all forms of sandstone. Hope that helps. Josh@Smartseal

      @@SmartsealUk so it’s ok on grey sandstone aswell as like the golden sand multi ? I think it’s called in the video

      @@tidybrickslandscaping The Dry Finish sealer can be used on all forms of Sandstone. The use of colour enhancer or wet look sealer is not advised on Kandla Grey Sandstone. The mineral composition of Kandla Grey Sandstone means that any type of colour enhancing sealer can go patchy. Hope that helps. Nigel@Smartseal
