I’m preparing my patio for sealing. I’m using a Karcher patio cleaner attachment on my pressure washer on my slate patio and it’s leaving noticeable swirl marks. If I put sealer over them, they’ll be permanent won’t they?

So I had a similar issue and I used a patio cleaner. It doesn’t get rid of the green stains at first. Almost like it takes a week or so to clear it up

A good video highlighting the mistakes that us home owners can make. I would be interested in your thoughts about removing blackberry stains from Indian sandstone?

Being organic, sodium hypochlorite should remove it instantly. If you can’t get hold of any household bleach (thick) on it and leave for 10 minutes and rinse off should do the trick

I laid my own sandstone patio edging around some planters but made the mistake of using HG mortar stain remover on them and it’s left orange stains. Looking online I need to use something like rust ex (non acidic) to remove them? I tried just soapy warm water and pressure washer but did nothing.

How do you get the wet look effect? I used the best colour enhancing wet look but after 2 yrs its dull! Any suggestions?

I don’t offer sealing so not something I can advise but if you have applied it correctly you should just be able to clean it

Great job! Ive got some white stains on my indian sandstone. Not sure if its from the dog's urine or where I've sprayed disinfectant over it. What can i do to remove the white stains?

Should come off just just a pressure washer but if not some sodium hypochlorite should do the trick

Great job! I learned something-you can clean your artificial grass. I did not know that. Interesting. Too bad about the pavers having had their stains sealed into them-too bad she didn't tell you that before you wasted all your time washing, re-washing, treating with chemicals, etc. Good content.

Thanks Lisa! Yes I do quiet a few grass cleans really makes them look brand new again and always good to sanitise and deodorise if you have pets!
It was a bit of a shame as they would have come up incredible but always good to learn something new and also know to ask in advance if they’d have the patio sealed after a DIY clean!

Common sense says you do not seal over dirt, ca't believe anyone would think that would be a good idea. I have laid loads of pations over the years, and although I like the look of a shiny seal on flag, I try to stay away from doing it because seal can cause problems if moisture is still in the flags when you apply, these days I would rather leave it up to the customers to seal if they want it, but only around 6 months after laying the flags.

Agreed I’ don’t offer sealing at all for those exact reasons think it’s a rip off to be fair

Wire brush in a drill and water takes everything off stone in seconds and doesn't scratch the surface like you would think

I persoanlly wouldn't be willing to run the risk as it wasn't me that sealed it but good to know for any future fuck ups on my end
