At 3:48 you are cutting a piece that has larger width than its length. There seems to be very high chance for a kickback. Why don't you use a cross-cut sled for such a cut?
Would 6 magnets under perspex hold the cans in place during the freeze? Great tip knackers Edit glue them in place so when the ice melts the cans stay in place.
Pro tip: If you want to avoid tear-out on hard coated chipboard, use a sharp saw, and make sure that the cutting motion is *into* the visible surface. On a circular saw, this means nice side up. With a jigsaw, nice side down. And tape. And if your jigsaw can tilt the blade back to front, activate that feature. Edit: You're showing very good practice to put a sacrificial board under what you're drilling, that prevents tear-out perfectly. Great job! Edit: I truly love your Dad jokes. They add a special touch.
@@diyforknuckleheads absolutely! I love how you share your knowledge and skills in such a relatable manner. Not all too shiny, with results that a normal guy can achieve. This helps beginners to do something and not only watch. Great show!
Heres a tip uncle knackkerrrssss, i would just put the silicone used to seal the inside, on the bottom of the cans, that way they don't pop up and would remain stuck to the bottom, as we say in plumbing "do ya best, silicone the rest" ahahahah
