I'm turning to small channels for direct and accurate info. Most big channels are more entertainment and ads. Keep up the excellent work, Kristina.

I'm sure this lady is nice in real life and great at her profession. However, that doesn't make one necessarily knowledgeable about footwear. Please don't take this personally, but I have to address the plethora of incorrect statements made in this video.
At 2:19, the Nike Monarch is not a running shoe. It's a casual lifestyle shoe. You see celebrities rocking them in the stands at sports games, which is a big reason why they're popular again. The Monarch classification as a running shoe is a technicality only. No runner will use them for running unless they want serious foot pain.
Walking shoes are not more flexible. That's just incorrect. Maybe some niche companies or companies that make barefoot shoes make flexible walking shoes, but across the major footwear brands (e.g. Nike, NB, Adidas, Brooks,e etc.), nearly all of their walking shoes have stiffer midsoles. Running involves a more significant foot bend and force, so running shoes tend to have a more flexible sole and lighter weight to accommodate this. Walking shoes, on the other hand, focus more on providing stability and cushioning with less flexibility required. I cannot think of one brand that does the opposite. Now, whether this way of designing shoes is healthy for the foot is a different question altogether.
2:30 - Case in point, the Nike Monarchs. She couldn't bend the shoe because it was a lifestyle/walking shoe. NOT a running shoe. If it was a running shoe, it would be much more flexible.
2:53 - "I would consider this a walking shoe". It's not. The New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz, which is what you're holding, is a running shoe with an 8mm heel toe drop.
3:53 - It's clearly not level. The New Balance site says 8mm drop which is considered on the higher end. Most running shoes range from 4-10mm drops.

Are Running Shoes Good for Walking? Like can you use running shoes to just occasionally walk if you wanted to I’m glad you responded to her video as that also helps clean things up.

I have been using barefoot shoes for walking and best decision I have made, been wearing the Hykes Flex and love how they feel, once you get used to them you will never go back to regular shoes.

Many walking shoes are less flexible, not more--due to many of them having medial posts or stabilizing features.

I think that the biggest difference is that walking shoes are almost always very bad shoes.
