Dog boarding business from home. A day in the life.

- Come with me on a normal easy day of operating our home owned dog and cat kennel. Some days are smooth, some days are crazy, every day is different with all our guests that come in and out. When you operate a kennel its a 24-7 job. Luckily, our kennel is on our property and is quite easy to just walk down a 100 yards and go to work. Depending on the response to this video I may start doing a weekly vlog on kennel life. Let me know if you would be interested in seeing a weekly video documenting all the daily activities of our home owned and operated boarding facility.

I like that you have beds, they can sit on, sleep on, if they want. I was wary of ever leaving my dog, Chester, anywhere, but left him once, (not overnight) for about 3 hours, with his girlfriend. He and I were incredibly close. I was terrified of having to go to the hospital, and when I needed surgery, found a doc who allowed me to leave. I'm even older, now, and would feel very comfortable leaving my dogs I have now, with you. If I was younger, I'd want to do this. My property is very large, with trails throughout the woods. I wonder if our grandson might want to do this, at some point.
I used to have soft beds as well but they all got chewed up. I really appreciate the comment about leaving your dogs with me. I try my best with them and their owners. Show your grandson some of these videos and ask em?
looks like you have a great setup!! How do you deal with the waste ? do you put it in you septic or use some other method?

Amazing build! Did zoning play a big part in getting your property set up for boarding facility on your property? I know some places are restrictive. Im looking to setup something similiar after i retire from the military but im not sure what type of property i should be looking at that will allow me have my residence and still operate commercially. Thoughts?
Great question. We lucked out being out side of village limits and being in a non restricted, non industrial area. Definitely a lot to consider on all that. Noise ordinances etc.

How much did it cost you to build the kennels compelte? Aout how much money do you take in per month? Where are you located? Thanks
About 27k to build doing all the work ourselves no contractors. Monthly Id have to run some numbers but varies big time from month to month. New Mexico.
