I have a fully automated vault with Mr Handy's, if can survive on its own, a few maxed out dwellers with good guns to protect, and some legendary dwellers for the same reason
I finished the game and spent 70k+ caps that i had saved to build the vault the way i wanted

Honestly, I only have an ordely vault because I just made a simple vault layout and kept copying it over and over again as I went deeper into the vault

I just came back to my valut after being away for 3 years. Oddly enough, it was doing fine. Had a lot of dead explorers though.😅

our vaults are very different though lol. my main and first vault is 301 and that one is organized clutter. my free time/when i miss the game vault is vault 92 and that’s 100% organization optimization

I wish I can play the game however I want, but the game says, "if you dont follow those unwritten rules, we'll send you radscorpions, deatchlaws and other incidents, lol". Because of this, I have to redesign the vault's layout :((
Yeah literally. Endless invasions make it impossible to not build certain ways
I put my power station on my first floor diner on second floor. Rush full strength/endurance/agility to full on those twelve dwellers first. Death claws wont make it past those first two rooms with an average of 10 dmg weapons. Never go below 12 stims in reserve after 60 dwellers. The game actually becomes completely trivial to the point of boredom once your first 12 are maxed.
I remember when there was an app for cheats for fallout shelter but then Bethesda got a butthurt and sued because they were losing money and won getting the cheats app taken off the store 😢

If you have problems with money in fallout shelter, i done this for my playthroughs...
Always at night before signing off, i take all lvl 1 dwellers and put em on endurance clothes and best weapons and 25 of each stimpaks and radaways for all of them.
Mind you need to build a few med labs to increase max cap of these items for your vault.
But anyways, i will always send the max amount of dwellers out to explore the wasteland before going to sleep, and retrieve everything back on the next day.
That is a great way of making caps while you are not playing, and since these dwellers will keep leveling up very fast they wont need to heal as much cuz they heal to max hp each time they level up.
You can even send them with no more than 6 to 10 stimpaks and they will be still alive for next day.
Another thing you can do is limiting the amounts of dwellers and rooms to a certain amount that seems easily manageable for your Mr handys.
And making sure that your vault resource efficiency is always positive.
This way Mr handys can collect everything when you are not playing and make easy caps by placing at least 1 sweller with luck clothes. And when Mr Handy picks resources it will have higher chances of collecting caps.
Then all you gotta do is just open the "options-pause" menu when you are out, instead of closing the game.
That way there will be literally no hazards popping up in your vault as long as the options menu is open... but your Mr handys will keep doing all the work to keep the vault affloat while at the same time making thousands of caps over time each hour.
Next thing you will see is most likely your caps storage hitting 999999. Then god bye economical and any dangerous issues for your vault.
You can jump in and out as you please and do the daily missions, and quests for the lunch boxes and rare scrap materials and weapons, armor, etc. GG
Yeah see I started sending out lvl 1 dwellers as well just to see what would happen. Plus I was at max capacity so if they die they die. If they have good stuff I'll buy back if not i'll send em to the graveyard

Mines maintained itself with a few Mr Handy's for a bit over a year, doing beautiful needed a few touch ups but otherwise, everyone was still happy, completely forgot about the game

the game does not continue when you’re not in it. it pauses after about a minute of closing the game down so your vault isn’t self sufficient it’s just paused
I recently visited my vault too after I watched the Fallout series. Last logged in was September of 2020. Nice surprise that I can add the Fallout series characters as vault dwellers.

I keep utilities to the left living quarters and services in the middle and leveling, recruiting and quests to the right.
Oh that's smart but I keep utilities on same level bc mr. Handy will collect on one level

I learned don't go over 45 population game become considerably harder. Everything after 45 is not necessary to have in the vault. Worst raids you will get are ghouls normally.

I would say think more like don't expand too quickly. I feel like a huge part of the game is expanding the vault, not even necessarily unlocking new rooms it just feels like the main way of progressing the game
My vault was irderly fir a while, then i just felt chaotic and startex putting rooms anywherw and everywhere.

Played the game when it first came out. Stopped playing in 2015. Redownload the game in 2024, and continued through cloud save. 10 years worth of progress. I sent 3 dwellers out in the Wasteland and they were returning home for almost ten years. I had almost 50 grand when they returned.
How the heck did they survive that long hahaa

If you switch the 7 days come back you can get the lunchbox at the end of the week. So you just keep switching the clock 7 days forward on your phone and it gives you infinite lunchboxes. It works in 2024 on Android and iPhone. Don't know how Xbox or PlayStation works tho@@TFMJClown

I have had my vault since December 6, 2019. I have produced over a hundred Dragon’s Maws and many more MIRVs and Lead Belchers and Vengeances and am constantly capped at 999,999 caps. Please, for my sake, enjoy this period while it lasts. Once you get to the point of producing legendary weapons in 9 hours, many many many Mr. Handy’s, and 32 second Nuka Cola production, the game turns into an idle game and is truly boring. Please, enjoy this state of terrified joy while it lasts, the game gets so broken that I’m not even afraid of radscorpions anymore.
P.S: Anyone stuck at a “perfect vault” like I am? What else is out there?

Just collect stuff at that point and play for fun.
If not having fun anymore then no point to play. Make a new playthrough and do things differently, or play another game i'd say.
You should try survival mode, the early game is hard but really satisfying once you're able to stabilize your vault production but if you did this in survival mode I applaud you
I grinded out a vault in like 4 days by constantly setting the date and time on my phone to skip training and expedition times(and basically everything else). It still took a stupid amount of playtime for 4 days but it was fun for that time :D
I can't tell whats worse. Your vault building or your dialogue.

I dont really know what to do with this game after 100 dwellers and several missle launchers/fat men. 1200 storage full, legendary dwellers are worse than my trained ones. No real end game

@TFMJClown there are a couple things that have just kind of gotten more frustrating than fun as time goes on.
1. Low level quests still appearing when you have 100+ dwellers
2. Swapping people between training rooms/bedrooms when you have 30+ people training is super tedious (on a phone, worse on console, less so on pc)
3. Inability to just turn the missions completely automated. I have lvl 50 dwellers in level 12 mission, I can't just autocomplete?
4. Not being able to easily see equipped items on dwellers. Inventory needs a filter for "equipped" looking through 130 dwellers for your third combat shotgun for a mission is tedious.
5. Better inventory management overall, capping common crafting components to certain values, being able to filter items coming in for instance, ANY hunting rifle is automatically scrapped or turned into caps without my direct sorting.
6. Really just any chase item or new thread after 100 people. Surviving should become harder as time goes on not easier imho. Maybe have difficulty settings?
7. Fix mole rat broodmothers, if someone in your party dies on a mission it's always one of them, how ever they work is how radscorpions should work not mole rats. I have no issue with hard enemies just think it's super bizarre it's them.

I definitly get it! They should add something to progress past that point. Something so theres no need for a new vault and you can continue without getting bored of the same vault! Itd be cool to even see them take on the Settlement builder Fallout 4 had but 2D as an expansion to it!

No, at least to my knowledge you have to destroy it. Hence why my vault is kinda messy bc I dont have enough caps to constantly move and rebuild rooms

@@TFMJClown Years ago I had the same problem. But I realized the trick is having Mr. Handy robot on each deck with resources need picking including stim packs and rad away.

Look at their highest stat in SPECIAL and put them in the room that uses that stat!
Worst ever. Every time I make some progress the Deathclaws kill all my dwellers. Then I have to start over.

So the only way to auto-collect them that I’m aware of is using the Mr. Handy robots. They collect anything on the floor they are on. I believe that’s the only way!

It was way easier to record a video on and upload. But you can unlock achievements on steam so if you are an achievement hunter then thats is a reason for pc!

Your vault is a total mess. You have too many people in the residence who are not working. In my vault, everyone works. It would be better if you send all the men for scavenging while you make all the women work in the facilities. You'll get a lot of money and resources from that.
All the people in the residences are there so I can get more dwellers. I make all the women pregnant then send em back to work so they are working and kids are being born! If I ever do play again I definitely will send more people out in to the wasteland!
@@TFMJClown you don't need a lot of dwellers to make your vault running properly. I limited my residence only for 50 dwellers to avoid Deathclaws attacks. I also did not built a radio station yet because it's useless. At that time, I collected bottlecaps as much as possible while I trained my dwellers to get maxed S.P.E.C.I.A.L
Fair enough. Under 50 you won't get deathclaws?
@@TFMJClown You get deathclaw attacks if you have 61 dwellers in the vault or more, those in the wasteland don't count. But i think you can't send an infinite number of dwellers in the wasteland, it is capped at something like 25

Fallout shelter is far from fun the only “fun” part is the overseer adventure things and those suck too
I think its a good game to pass time on and such but I'm more of a Shooter game kind of guy anyway
