As a former B&BW employee.... The value of the advent calendars with them is that you can legit go to any B&BW with whatever item you didn't like the scent of and choose one of the same type of item and exchange for the scent you want. It's part of the guarantee they have about liking items...
@@catiebabii1991 That's why everything is marked with the price as they are all individually sold items in the store anyways. And TBH, that's one of the reasons they are priced so high...technically, with a receipt they will take back slightly used items as well, as long as you say you didn't like it.
They’ve changed the policy now. Just a heads up. If you don’t have a receipt they give you the lowest value. I tried to exchange a soap I was gifted and had to pay the difference.

Hey Alexandria, here's a little tip for you. When you order these advent calendars, create a folder in your email so you can keep track of the invoices and prices. That way you don't have to try to remember.
Even a google doc spreadsheet would make everything easier. Date purchased, cost, value advertised. But organized and Alexandria don't overlap in the Venn diagram of chaos we get here on this channel! 😂
I suspect she makes A LOT of money off these videos. She literally doesn't care how much they cost individually. That's why she "can't remember" what she paid. Because she makes probably triple the amount in ad revenue.
Hi, BBW employee here. There really isn’t much of a difference between candles labeled White Barn and Bath and Body Works besides aesthetics. White Barns tend to be more minimalist/farmhouse looking, and Bath and Body Works is more just fun and random. I also think White Barn candles smell alittle stronger but may just be me. :)
I’m also an employee but sometimes the white barn packaging is way busier than the other packaging. There’s a lot of inconsistency. It’s nice to have different packages because people are displaying them.
I have a question for you guys, have you noticed anyone complain about the quality of the car jars in the last few years? I used to love them, great fragrance, strong scent, long-lasting… but the last several I’ve purchased had little to no scent at all even on the first day. Do you know if they switched manufacturers or maybe the ones you find outside of BBW stores are of different quality? Just curious 😁 I used to work retail, try and keep your sanity in the next couple days. This time of year can be tough ❤
@@KG9551 yeah I’ve seen a lot of complaints about that too! They’re getting pretty expensive and I can’t smell them either. Not sure why but you’re not alone there
I really love that your dogs have some "snout" on them! I love seeing pug/ bulldogs with more nose, it's a great direction to see the breeds going towards.
@arthursmarthur some breeders are starting to try to bring the breeds that way which I think is amazing but yeah if they're Bostons then they do tend to have more nose than pugs/bullies
@@arthursmarthur Boston Terriers have had the same muzzle shortening issues as pugs and bulldogs. If you try to get one from a papered breeder, you are more likely to have a shorter muzzle because show dogs lean that way. It's sad. You really have to look to find a reputable breeder (screening out other health issues) that has longer muzzles like her dogs. I have 2 bostons myself that have longer noses. 1 my family bred and one was a rescue. I'm part of a lot of BT groups on Facebook and it's become very common place for puppies to have to get nose surgery to open up their airways.

My problem with advent calendars overall, especially beauty ones, is companies usually treat them as a way to get rid of excess crap, rather than treat it as its own, special product. Vanilla Bean Noel is one of the staple holiday scents. And definitely a safe choice. But I wish they would have had a balanced mix of all 3 scents. Vanilla Bean Noel, Winter Candy Apple and Twisted Peppermint.
The Merry Cookie Single Wick Candle, Merry Cookie Gentle Foaming Hand Soap and 3-wick candle ornament were all exclusive items that could only be purchased in the calendar. They were supposed to be the "big deal" items that everyone is apparently overlooking.
It's not the Holiday season without the Bath & Body Works candle lady! Her rant and the glorious re-enactment are just as essential as cookies, snow and a Christmas tree.
My only real "issue" with this calendar was the ornament! I wish it was a candle too, or if they had to include it, swapped days with the Merry Cookie candle. It was kind of an underwhelming end to the calendar. So glad to see you review it and have the same thought I did, lol.
They definitely couldn't have made a candle ornament though because someone would have put it on their tree and lit it and burned their house down. But i do think they should have swapped days so the candle was the last day.
I just got a Lindt Chocolate Advent Calendar for my kids (wanted chocolates for desserts) it was $10 now $1.30 at Giant!! I felt amazing to get this deal!!!
Omigawd! That is my absolute favorite chocolate on the whole world. Not much I wouldn't do for a Lindt red wrapped truffle (the milk chocolate) ones. Although, the white chocolate ones are delicious, too 😋 ‼️

That may be so but White Barn was the mall trifecta for Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works, selling intimate apparel, soaps and lotions, and candles. Turns out, they didn't do as well separately as they were supposed to, so now the company just sells all of those things at Victoria's Secret and combined Bath & Body and White Barn.

Remember the 2021 Rituals calendar? I don't have personal experience with the Rituals brand products, but the advent boxes that became a whole holiday village was so attractive and creative.
You're giving me some serious nostalgia bringing up the Bath and Body Works cucumber melon. I LOVED that scent as a teen! I got almost the whole array of products with that scent. Lotions, shower gel, body spray--all of it! I still smell it when I go through my old stuff that I've boxed up from those days.
I actually liked this advent calendar! I think it showed all the products offered at bath & body works! It would have been nice to see more of the winter scents like winter candy apple, or twisted peppermint! I look forward to watching your advent calendar videos so much! I honestly really liked this calendar. I’m definitely a vanilla bean person, so I love that there was so much of this scent in it. I don’t like a lot of Christmas scents like pine, balsam, etc., so maybe they played it a little safe for people like me (sorry! lol). 🎄

Vanilla Bean Noel is one of my fav fragrances from them. It has caramel notes in it and a bit of musk…which makes it unique to other vanilla scents to me. ❤

I love that Wren will start eating treats when the sibling does. My cats do the same thing. Older cat didn't like treats until younger cat started eating treats and the suddenly he likes treats. It's pretty cute.

So far this seems to be the best value for an Advent calendar. And of course there would be a majority of vanilla scents. It's a basic calendar aiming for the widespread audience. Not surprising. Also, a whiff of a contracted soap is gonna be strong girl! Lol!
Bath and Body Works was huge even in the early 90’s when I was in high school. Cucumber Melon for sure. Everybody wore it. The school had to have just reeked of it. 😂. I had a dog with those type of allergies. Finally the vet just placed him on a prednisone pill everyday. He lived over 10 more years.
As someone who used to live in Appleton Wisconsin (and if you know Appleton, you know it's quite small considering it's right next to Hortonville) I get sooo excited when people reference that silly video lmao.

I think using vanilla bean Noel is a “safe” move, because it’s a pretty basic scent and most people like vanilla, compared to say coconut, cherry, twisted peppermint. Personally I LOVE going around the whole month of December smelling like twisted peppermint, but I’m sure a lot of others wouldn’t like that😅
I can totally relate to being allergic to everything- I like to tell people that the world is trying to reject me, much like a body rejects an organ transplant.
When I first started using wallflowers I almost broke the bottle bc the cap twists the wrong way and I was doing it the normal way. So much relatable content.
All Bath and Body Works products come out in collections usually you can tell a collection by matching or cohesive labels and White Barn is just one of the collections. It’s considered a faceted collection, which just means it’s there all year round or is in very standard packaging.
Oh my gosh! That allergy test they did on me when I was so little. With the needles that they prick in your back for each particular allergen that they put on your back… I’m so glad they don’t do that to people now but it was awful!

This calendar would have made me happy. I’m a big vanilla person. I have a full size of the VBN body spray. Warm Vanilla sugar is my absolute favorite.
I think this is one of the nicer ones in the way that it is a lot of product variety, not a bunch of just body care or just home. I'd enjoy getting a completely different thing every day!

This is being such a fun year for calendars I don't recall ever clicking as quickly as I have this year usually I at least read the title. It even feels like we've become an even tighter knit community. As soon as we get to see Alexandria in her wedding dress I will be super satisfied. LOL
I think this is a great advent calendar from B&BW. I really miss being able to use their products because I was an B&BW addict in the 90's. Somehow, I became allergic to almost all of their products about 12 years ago and had to stop using them completely. I got a yummy coconut scented set for Christmas one year. I used the body wash, lotion and spray and my skin started burning. It was so painful I had to jump back in the shower and wash it all off. All the other stuff gives me a headache. 😢
This one was fun! But I agree the vanilla is a little boring. They could have done peppermint, or spiced cider, mulled wine, or just a cinnamon based scent. But at least it wasn't all pine scented. Lol.... those go on 90% off in February. 😆 🤣 😂. You pups are so adorable! When do we get to see wedding photos? At least 1 of you in your dress! I get that your hubs is more private, but we all want to see how beautiful you were on your wedding day!
Aww the sweaters 😍😍😍 I think some of these companies like keep with a theme, so when they pick one scent, which vanilla is probably the most popular, they make it all about that.
I really enjoyed this year’s calendar! I have most of these scents myself at home, and think they did good hitting the holiday on the head. The one thing I wish they’d change is a cuter plug for the wallflowers. I do believe however that all of these items are full sized. ☺️

I would love to see Alexandria's collection of tissue tidbits and assorted gift wrapping bows and such. I see you sweetie grabbing all those little bits and pieces to be used later I seen that for years. As a current employee, that's about the only good thing. There's not a great savings value, if any. It's better to just get the holiday boxes.

Bright Christmas morning is also extremely popular. I wish they included that one. It’s not as strong as twisted peppermint.

Winter candy apple used to have a bar soap that was absolutely my favorite scent in the world. It was not like the lotion or the other stuff.
We still have the bar soaps! We have a lot of low key sales on them because people don't go for them but I actually kinda love them

So far this seems to be the best value for an Advent calendar. And of course there would be a majority of vanilla scents. It's a basic calendar aiming for the widespread audience. Not surprising. Also, a whiff of a contracted soap is gonna be strong girl! Lol!

Bath and Body Works was huge even in the early 90’s when I was in high school. Cucumber Melon for sure. Everybody wore it. The school had to have just reeked of it. 😂. I had a dog with those type of allergies. Finally the vet just placed him on a prednisone pill everyday. He lived over 10 more years.

As a retired teacher and disabled veteran due to pancreatic cancer I think it’s a blessing to be able to afford to buy all of these advent calendars and I love seeing the dogs at the end!

I think using vanilla bean Noel is a “safe” move, because it’s a pretty basic scent and most people like vanilla, compared to say coconut, cherry, twisted peppermint. Personally I LOVE going around the whole month of December smelling like twisted peppermint, but I’m sure a lot of others wouldn’t like that😅
I can totally relate to being allergic to everything- I like to tell people that the world is trying to reject me, much like a body rejects an organ transplant.

All Bath and Body Works products come out in collections usually you can tell a collection by matching or cohesive labels and White Barn is just one of the collections. It’s considered a faceted collection, which just means it’s there all year round or is in very standard packaging.
Oh my gosh! That allergy test they did on me when I was so little. With the needles that they prick in your back for each particular allergen that they put on your back… I’m so glad they don’t do that to people now but it was awful!

I love this advent calendar, I love Bath &Bath bodywork’s. It brings back such nostalgia, grew up with watermelon and cucumber era as well.

This is being such a fun year for calendars I don't recall ever clicking as quickly as I have this year usually I at least read the title. It even feels like we've become an even tighter knit community. As soon as we get to see Alexandria in her wedding dress I will be super satisfied. LOL

I think this is a great advent calendar from B&BW. I really miss being able to use their products because I was an B&BW addict in the 90's. Somehow, I became allergic to almost all of their products about 12 years ago and had to stop using them completely. I got a yummy coconut scented set for Christmas one year. I used the body wash, lotion and spray and my skin started burning. It was so painful I had to jump back in the shower and wash it all off. All the other stuff gives me a headache. 😢

This one was fun! But I agree the vanilla is a little boring. They could have done peppermint, or spiced cider, mulled wine, or just a cinnamon based scent. But at least it wasn't all pine scented. Lol.... those go on 90% off in February. 😆 🤣 😂. You pups are so adorable! When do we get to see wedding photos? At least 1 of you in your dress! I get that your hubs is more private, but we all want to see how beautiful you were on your wedding day!

I think some of these companies like keep with a theme, so when they pick one scent, which vanilla is probably the most popular, they make it all about that.

I really enjoyed this year’s calendar! I have most of these scents myself at home, and think they did good hitting the holiday on the head. The one thing I wish they’d change is a cuter plug for the wallflowers. I do believe however that all of these items are full sized. ☺️

I would love to see Alexandria's collection of tissue tidbits and assorted gift wrapping bows and such. I see you sweetie grabbing all those little bits and pieces to be used later I seen that for years. Fortunately my daughter never wants to keep any of the bags or tissue so I get to take all of hers home as well.
