Multiple trades in one direction with profit target. The pros and cons of taking a second trade within the same theme. What do i mean by this? Let's say you have a theme - say buying at a support level and you have various triggers that are activated when you hit this level? So what are the advantages and disadvantages of taking multiple trades around that theme. You take one, you get stopped out, you take it again but get stopped again...etc OK.
    Pros -
    - the advantage of the opportunity
    - risk control
    - allows a small tester
    - take advantage of an unusual spike.
    Cons
    - it can ignite negative emotions
    - can stop you out on multiple times
    - can cause you to exert too much energy on an unprofitable pattern.
    - can cause you to be too focused on one theme.

So my strategy is to use 1.5x ATR and 2% account risk to accommodate that. And I normally trade my work hours with the 4h charts and my off time with the 15m charts. Honestly changing my ATR that wide made my trades more than 20% higher success rate (currently riding around 70% swing success and a little over 50% scalping) no [not financial advice] I recommend you guys just giving it a try, especially if you're newer in the markets!

I find it's fine to re-enter as long as it's within your strategy conditions if you'd (say) woken up and seen the setup for the first time, and as long as you can keep calm about the previous stop out!

Great video. I have a two trade rule when taking multiple trades with the same theme. If the second trade isn't profitable, I'm out as my theme is most likely wrong for the day...

Absolutely.. just means the market is working a different pattern. Might need a higher time frame to get the bigger picture.

This is why often my stop is quickly set at break even.

this depends with your setup stats. You might get stopped out once or twice but the trade will eventually go your way, And the R-R will cover up for the losses big tym

i would place a buy stope order away from the noise,i wont get as much profit but i will avoid being stopped frequently.

This can be kinda viewed as revenge-esque.

I’d rather have at least an ATR beyond the support to confirm a support failure than to go too tight and constantly lose

I swear when I stop using stops, my trading on /NQ improves dramatically. I need to be willing to risk like $1K per trade then add as soon as it starts going in favor.

I lost 9 % of my account last week doing this, it really messed up my psychology and destroyed my confidence.
