      Curing does more than just remove the moisture. It makes a gentler soap. The soap tends to dry the skin if it’s used too soon. Great video!!

    If you use pirex glass for melting beeswax in micro wave it will break??

    • @CentralBeekeepersSupply
      @CentralBeekeepersSupply  3 года назад +2

      I'd hate to tell you no, because it probably depends on a lot of factors. We've microwaved Pyrex dishes without breaking in the past, but I'd say try at your own risk.

    I made some soap with bees wax. I started adding my lye water to the mix and it was going great. When I added the honey it started getting a few bumps. Seconds later I was putting it in my mold and it was getting very chunky. I started adding they lye water at 154° and my oils were at 160°. Did I have it to hot or to low in temp so the wax wouldn't chunk? One thing I did do is take my emulsion blender out once to add the fragrance oil. Could that have been my problem?

      Beeswax melts roughly 150°F. That's the temp we use to pour candles as well as dipped type.

    Could it be made beeswax-only soap (without any other type of added fat)?

    Mica is natural product. Mainly mined in India and there are several law suits concerning child labor there.

      Such an undesirable situation, unfortunately Children work to help support their family no handouts. We import a lot of things made from child labor like sugarcane, cotton, coffee, tobacco, cattle, rice, and fish. In the manufacturing sector, bricks, garments, textiles, footwear, carpets, and fireworks appear most frequently. In mined or quarried goods, gold, coal and diamonds are most common.

      @@joannerivera3958 totally agree. I am not debating whether to use it or not that’s personal preference in the light of taking advantage of miners. My point was to clarify that mica is natural product and the reason i mentioned the law situation is to provide more information and enlightenment.

      @@CentralBeekeepersSupply ok great thanks, this is a great instruction but a bit confused about the palm oil. It was mentioned in the beginning but I've watched the video a 3 times now but didn't see it added. Please can you let us know how much palm oil and what can be used as an alternative. Thanks
