Great help. Just went through all these steps for my 2012 Soul whose cluster went black and wouldn't shift out of park. Bought a used one online with similar mileage for $100. Note that there seems to be three versions (manual transmission, automatic with key, automatic with push button start) so get the correct cluster version. Took less than an hour. Hardest part was pulling out the plastic cluster cover. Tried wedging and pulling it straight out but finally just got my fingers from both hands underneath the bottom edge and it popped straight out. Dealer wanted $1500.
Thanks for your video. I intentionally looked up replacing the speedometer because I need to get to the blower motor since it's basically right behind it somewhere. Sadly it looks like everything behind the cluster is completely plastic causing issues to reach behind the speedometer to get to the blower motor sadly.
It is mainly from experience and just having to figure out how things work and go together. I really appreciate the kind words and as always thanks for watching.

Do you know if I need any type of reprogramming in the new cluster?
No it does not , however the odometer will need to be adjusted unless it matches.Thanks for watching.
