i can't lie I'll always have a place in my heart for Ewan McGregor as Christian- I adore his performance. But for a stage production I couldn't think of anybody better to take the role. Aaron is brilliant for this character.
When they announced Moulin Rouge as a Broadway Musical I knew instantly that only Aaron Tveit could play this role. He is the perfect Christian. No one else could play this role like him. I’m so glad the creative team casted him. He is a dream

Aaron's like the Leo of Broadway/tony awards :( took Leo forever to get that Oscar he deserved long ago. I so badly hope that our talented man gets it for this one.

I saw it in Boston and other than the basic storyline so much is changed for the stage show. Aaron really fits the character in the show. He was absolutely perfect in this role as it played on stage.
Mc Gregor sang it ONCE. In a studio. This is a musical, which means 6-12 shows a week. Therefore you need a person with good technique and training. While I adore Aaron, he could play Christian a little bit more shy. But nevertheless, he's fantastic =)
