To all the folks asking about the Africa Twin, its not here becuase it is not in this segment. It has a 1100cc engine but produces 99hp in India spec which is far less than anything here. In terms of power, performance, features and price, the Honda is a closer rival to the Multistrada V2 and Tiger 900 than it is to any of these bikes.
60K unit sales in 2021 and 40 years of perfecting the machine never lies! GS is the absolute king. It will take a lot to dethrone your majesty. Waiting to see the 1300!
Now i see why people crave for GS and why it's the top selling high capacity ADV in the world. Btw, really Great work from ACI. 30 mins of pure content 👏
really appreciate the extreme hardwork that has been taken in making such an informational video...what we see is just the lovely cinematics but the effort taken in producing the same is really tough & challenging!!!!!kudos to the entire autocar team 👏👏
When the narrator mentioned every bike has electronically adjustable suspension it really hit me how far motorcycling has come since I started riding on my Z50 Monkey in 1974. This is my first viewing of this channel. Excellent quality production, content, and evaluation. Well done! A note about shaft vs chain concerning the BMW. A recent service bulletin requires BMW owners to drop down the final drive and lubricate the splines on the shaft. I know of no other shaft drive motorcycle that requires this. The issue stems from the rubber boots letting water into the final drive.
Really well done on the analysis of the attributes of these bikes. I own the 2022 R1250GSA as well as the 2022 Ducati Multistrada Pike Peak and they are spectacular in very different ways. Nothing I've owned over the last 40+ years of riding has such balance of character as the GSA. I love the Pikes Peak for what it is , a pure "upright" sports bike, but the GSA is the best all around on road and off road bike I've ever owned. And I've owned over two dozen bikes in the past 40 years. Great analysis and the right conclusion in my view. Nicely done.
Thank you so much for the great video. I tend to avoid Indian videos because I can't really understand when there is a thick accent but honestly, this is not only clear, its also informative and done in a very entertaining way. I truly enjoyed the whole video and was craving for more. A 27min review that doesn't feel draggy. Great job guys.
Week after week Autocar India sets the benchmark for quality automotive journalism! This shoot-out has to be an all time favourite till now. ♥️💫 I am sure the ACI team must've been thrilled to have a face-off with these behemoths!
Great video! I really appreciate the effort that is put into the video. Talking about Triumph, I think it is a fantastic bike but always remains under the shadow of that BMW. No question that BMW is the best. But, if I were to spend that much money on a motorcycle, I would go and buy the Tiger. I mean it has its own share of problem just like all of us. It isn't perfect like all of us. Maybe that's what attracts me towards it.
Aah.. Thank you Autocar IN and Rishaad for making such a tasteful video. I've been waiting for a long long time for this. Hope you will make a similar video on smaller segment of adventure tourers such as the 600cc and the 900cc + ones
Hats off to all you guys for going extreme and bring a video this beatiful with loads of hard work, it really pays off, this is an incredible video comparison of all big gun adv bikes in market now. Thanks again to whole Team, really enjoyed!
i see a lot of videos where you guys go North to South, how about next time explore West to North-east. Would really want to see that, could be a good exposure for N-E states.
Rishaad & Rishabh you two have been doing fantastic job and keeping Autocar India as one of the few platforms who gives unbiased reviews, you guys have been helpful in Our selection of Bikes as well! Big kudos to entire team for Putting up such detailed and crisp video along with the product placements in between!
Almost all the videos I've seen that compare the Pan America mention it doesn't have a quick shifter option. I don't know if it's only available in the USA, but it's definitely an option through Harley Davidsons P/A catalog. I've personally installed several over the past couple of years that the bike has been available.
What is the alternative to heavy adv's for tarmac riding across indian highways. 1)Lighter adv's, 2)Supersports if they are lighter?? 3) anything on two wheels. You really need a cross category highway riding shoot-out. Till that happens air conditioned highway driving is the way to go.
Such a nicely put together video , didnt feel like a 27 min video except for those stupid HDFC ads with 30 min car loan if only they knew the waiting period.
Autocar: Please review and road test 4 bikes. Rishad: Okay which ones? Autocar: BMW 1250GS, Ducati Multistrada V4, Harley Pan America, Triumph 1200 Tiger. Rishad: No review needed. BMW is the best. Autocar: Abe review to kar le Rishad: Verdict aa gaya review kyun karu? Autocar: Shayad koi aur pasand aa jaye? Rishad: Haan fir splendor bhi add kar do.
US always at disadvantage here as Germany gets taxed less on import. But without price consideration if you can handle the height GS is the best in the segment
The only bike that strikes a good balance after GSA is Tiger, and of course, it was made to do so at a conservative budget. But Africa twin is just as capable, if not better in certain applications ( DCT gearbox, if you fancy automatic)
Without Honda Africa twin CRF 1000 L and CRF 1100 not completely comparable. In my opinion Honda is on the top of Off-road capability among all above bikes . Don’t only compare with power compare with capabilities.
The Honda CRF 1100 is completely outclassed by these bikes. The Honda is a notch below and competes with the Tiger 900 and Ducati 950 not these bikes. Plus the Honda is badly outclassed on the tarmac which is where most of these bikes will perform.
To all the folks asking about the Africa Twin, its not here becuase it is not in this segment.

Comparison between geared bikes and not a bike cum scooter 😜🤣
It is comparable more to tiger 900 bmw 850 gs and v2 multi
60K unit sales in 2021 and 40 years of perfecting the machine never lies! GS is the absolute king. It will take a lot to dethrone your majesty. Waiting to see the 1300!
One of the best, if not the best, comparing reviews I've seen about these motorcycles. Amazing job! Congratulations from Brazil.
I will be coming back to this video many a times in future. Kudos to the whole team for producing this masterpiece.
Best review of the bikes in this segment I have ever watched. Thank you! Amazing effort from the team.
Now i see why people crave for GS and why it's the top selling high capacity ADV in the world. Btw, really Great work from ACI. 30 mins of pure content 👏
What a video it was❤️
Pure delight to watch.
GS the undisputed King🔥

MULTISTRADA V4 S AANNYYDDAAYY!!!!! AN ABSOLUTE BEAST 😍😍😍😍😍
really appreciate the extreme hardwork that has been taken in making such an informational video...what we see is just the lovely cinematics but the effort taken in producing the same is really tough & challenging!!!!!kudos to the entire autocar team 👏👏
Thank you!
Autocar India is for sure leveling up the editing game🔥

Where is Kawasaki Versey 1000 , Yamaha Super Terner , Honda Africa Twin , Suzuki V-Storm 1050 , KTM 1290 Super Adventure & MV Augusta Turismoveloche ?

Where is Africa Twin?
This video will be remembered for years ❤️❤️
Despite all the 4 adv’s out there, I can’t get off my eyes over the beautiful ducati. When it comes to beauty or road presence, ducati anyday!
I already read the article but man was the video so good. The tiger deserves more love though
Rishaad bro, you are the man among men when it comes to reviewing two-wheelers, awesome job as always. ✌✌
Thank you! So much context and usable information here. Appreciate the hard work gone into making this.

Kudos to Autocar Team, Immense level of hardwork for such a quality video that too targeting to a very niche bike category....Love your work

Week after week Autocar India sets the benchmark for quality automotive journalism! This shoot-out has to be an all time favourite till now. ♥️💫 I am sure the ACI team must've been thrilled to have a face-off with these behemoths!
Before i started the video i knew the GS would win best bike overall
GREAT JOB BOYS..... WE ANOTHER VIDEO WITH LOWER SEGMENT BETWEEN TIGER 900 AFRICA TWIN AND MANY MORE
U guys never disappoint with your content....loved it....BTS was awesome.
Pls make this for the sub 6 to 7 lakh ADVs.
Include the Hero xpulse just for context.
Thats really needed. For the ones who r buying their first adv's that budget is a bit user friendly. Autocar can help us make a better choice💯💯✌
Quick Shifter is available as an accessory for the 2022 PanAmerica.
At 6:08 the editing gave me goosebumps omg
Missing Africa Twin
Aah.. Thank you Autocar IN and Rishaad for making such a tasteful video. I've been waiting for a long long time for this. Hope you will make a similar video on smaller segment of adventure tourers such as the 600cc and the 900cc + ones
Only problem with the GS is that they are as common as muck.
Hats off to all you guys for going extreme and bring a video this beatiful with loads of hard work, it really pays off, this is an incredible video comparison of all big gun adv bikes in market now. Thanks again to whole Team, really enjoyed!
Thanks, @Autocar India for explaining the Top bike Adventure segment
I like the shots taken on the highways keeping HP petrol pumps in the background🤣
That lean angle on the Multistrada ❤️
I was sooo waiting for this
i see a lot of videos where you guys go North to South, how about next time explore West to North-east. Would really want to see that, could be a good exposure for N-E states.

Big kudos to entire team for Putting up such detailed and crisp video along with the product placements in between!
It's Really a shame that KTM does not bring their big block Advs into India...🥴🥴🥴🥴
That because they won't be able to provide the quality of Service their big adv bikes demands
Great group review gents!
Bravo.

Good review comparison. Thanks, guys.
One cannot explain any better about 2-wheels other than @Rishaad Mody, absolutely love it.👍👍
Enjoyed the video, this making me want to have rider buddies like this and go to Kanyakumari.
Such a nicely put together video , didnt feel like a 27 min video except for those stupid HDFC ads with 30 min car loan if only they knew the waiting period.
Thank you so much Autocar team for this wonderful video 🔥👍
Aways a delight to watch videos in 4K

Could have done a short feature to highlight the lighting quality and night riding capabilities of these bikes.
The only bike that strikes a good balance after GSA is Tiger, and of course, it was made to do so at a conservative budget.
But Africa twin is just as capable, if not better in certain applications ( DCT gearbox, if you fancy automatic)
What can i ask for more than this 🏍️👀🖤
Thanks for the hard work leading to this phenomenal rewiev👍👍
Thank you!
Pan America ‘22 which is the one you have does have a quick shifter as an option.
We need more such videos. Cheers and Thanks to the team.
Amazing video. Hats off ❤ 🎉
bmw1250gs wow 👌
Why isn't the Versys in this lineup? It's a more than capable machine and it is very competitively priced.
Amazing work autocar India it's been a hell of a work and a great video hands down!! With lots of years to come. Loved it ❤️
Thank you very much guys 💟☮️
