Very interesting video. Some other fun facts: Jody Watley also reached the top 100 with Shalamar 7 times without going to #1. They had a top 10 hit with "The Second Time Around" peaking at #8. Bonnie Pointer had three top 100 solo singles which didn't make it to #1. After his breakup with Creedence, John Fogarty had 9 top 100 singles including ""The Old Man Down the Road" which reached #10. Eric Burdon did manage to reach #1 before War with the Animals, "House of the Rising Sun" Springsteen and the Pointer Sisters were part of USA for Africa, and, of course, "We Are the World" hit #1.
Springsteen was the subject to a Jeopardy game show error on this topic. The answer was "Never wrote a US #1 record". They listed Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and two other artists I can't remember who had #1 records. They wanted the contestant to say "Who was Bruce Springsteen?", because he was the only one of the four who didn't have any of his own records reach #1. But the answer specifically said "wrote", and they had forgotten Bruce had written "Blinded by the Light".
Paul McCartney? That wouldn't fool anyone! He has 32! I guess they thought it would be fun for symmetry's sake to include the one with the MOST among the choices.
1. ELO entered the Hot 100 with 25 singles (The Pointer Sisters did it with 26 and Brook with 48). 2. ELO was only one step behind James Brown, both reached the Top 10 with 7 singles but JB peaked at No. 3 ("I feel good") while ELO peaked at No. 4 ("Don't bring me down"), that's why they didn't make this list.

Better never had a number one rather than ALWAYS have a fraud number ones : yes i’m talking about TAYLOR SWIFT, BTS, BEYONCE, ARIANA GRANDE and DRAKE.
If I was doing this, my methodology would have ranked Creedence with 5 #2 records, ahead of Bruce Springsteen with 1 #2 record.

ELO never had a U.S. number one. And they had more hits than War, Brook Benton , or the Pointer Sisters.

The late Eric Carmen & the Stylistics, the 2 artists from the 70s should have been included.
Eric Carmen had only 3 Top 10 hits and The Stylistics had only 5, not enough to make this list.
@@ULTIMATECOUNTDOWN24 I see
I think Journey never had a number 1 song as well. Olivia Newton-John with Physical pretty much kept them out of the number 1 spot for 1981/1982
That's true, but Journey didn't make this list because they only had 6 Top 10 hits, just behind James Brown.
@@ULTIMATECOUNTDOWN24 That's a shame they only had 6 Top 10 hits, they have tons of great songs
Physical kept Foreigners "Waiting for a Girl Like You" put of the #1 spot for 10 weeks, not Journey.
"Physical" kept "Waiting for a girl like you" out of the No. 1 spot for 9 weeks (when it first hit #1, the No. 2 song was "Private eyes").
@@ULTIMATECOUNTDOWN24 "Physical" kept a lot of songs from the number 1 spot
No comment??
There's people who mafe it number one but camt perform
