Straight forward video thanks. But considering that the td5 discovery is one of the "easier" cars to do a service on, it does show just how much of a knuckle removing pain oil changes are on modern cars. For the sake of a couple more inches in the engine bay, manufactures seem to have kept the garages in business, as what used to be a couple of hours on a sunday morning with a box of spanners, is now farmed out to them.
Happy to help, with such a big engine bay you’d expect everything to be in site but unfortunately as you say most people take one look and send it to the garage now.
easy enough for a person who has never touched a car from what it seems
Tip fresh oil is best on oil filter seal or silicon grease, clean bottom of air box b4 fitting new air filter
Thanks for the video.
The treads on the second filter housing strip very easily. I put a thinner bolt in with a nut and a washer. Seems to be working well!
