XYZ switch replacement Land Rover Discovery 2

Hey guys and welcome to my first video
In this video I replace my faulty XYZ switch in my Disco 2 td5. This is a common problem with the auto transmissions due to the A/C discharge dripping directly on to the switch.

Pom here living in Newcastle, NSW. Just wanted to say hi. Issue with mine overshooting neutral on the switch and giving no indication so trying to fix that too. Also my English mate also with a D2 got me some canula hose from his hospital which I put into the AC grommet on both sides and ran new aircon drains out the way of the XYZ and front prop joints.

I am about to do this job on my Disco, I got hold of a spare second hand one and sent it away for referb at a cost of £55, I have watched a few vids on the subject and all including yours very helpful. on a side note I'm amazed how good your chassis is, not seen NW England salty roads I guess. good luck with your channel

Hey mate thanks for the comment. Hopefully the video helped and you cruise through the job with no dramas 👍 for the chassis - in Australia we don’t need gritters in the winter so I think that helps, and the guy I bought it off barely went off road/also got the chassis sandblasted when he bought it.

Hey mate how do you adjust the cable? I’ve just done mine and it’s showing 3rd gear on the dash but park on the auto gear box lever

Check you don't have recall on the pipe. My P38 had one and got it done for free
