whymustielaine as a wheelchair user who has seen the play, I can tell you no such lift exists at the Duchess theatre. Nor is there any upstairs, as the theatre is entirely underground due to restrictions imposed during World war 2.
Went to see Hadestown and in the Playbill, the advertisement for The Play That Goes Wrong is printed entirely upside-down, and when I saw it I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING! So much creativity and planning is put into the show, I can't wait to see it in the future!
Yes, go see it. The printed playbill has the title printed off-center. And get seated a little early, as there's some audience interaction. Who knows when it'll be back on stage right now, but I highly recommend it.
I've seen a few backstage videos like this but real, and they can still be a great laugh, the Wicked West End ones are particularly good. But no one is as good/bad? as Cornley.
BeJamin223 I saw this on July 4/17 at the Duchess. It was the best way to end our trip to the UK it was hilarious! So much audience interaction! Close and in your face just wonderful!
A lovely take on a classic 'open the door smile and wave' for each dressing room job. Very inventive and particularly liked the first 'incident' with the techie. All the best for opening night, if you are anywhere near the form you were on yesterday, the West End is indeed in for a brilliant evening. *insert joke about being a terrible show but only in the realms of being terribly funny*. :)R
the play that goes wrong was the best show I saw while I was in london. I saw 19 different shows and the play that goes wrong was so good I saw it twice. I'd love it if I could get a company where I live to produce it. it is so incredibly good
Saw this on my solo trip to Europe/UK in January. By intermission I was sobbing with laughter. I'm a professional actress/singer, and I take my hat off to you all for this truly brilliant piece of theatre
I'll be honest I didn't find this trailer very funny - BUT - I've seen the show twice and it is quite brilliant. I have rebooked to see the latest "goes wrong" show and I know it will be equally funny. Don't hesitate - just book it and take people you know with you - they will thank you.
"The lift's something of a death trap, it doesn't go up, only goes down... very quickly" HA genius

Lambert Brother he’s talking about the backstage lift. Also stop self advertising
I love it when Chris does those awkward little moments like that.
Good to the last drop.

Yeah the entire programme is done AS the drama society so it’s all funny
So creative

The stage hand is wearing a tour Tee shirt of their summer musical, 'Cat'.
simon turner I saw that!!!
It’s part of her costume. I’ve seen this play live twice, she always wears the Cats t-shirt.
Cat tshirt. It's a joke they make at the beginning about being too small for the full cast
Actors playing a character playing a character. These people are amazing!
If Broadway actors were actual people instead of practically perfect in every way
nice reference

My dad saw this while in london on a business trip and said it was one of the funniest things he's seen!!
We agree! :)
BeJamin223 I have personally seen this play and it is absolutely hilarious! I would recommend it to everyone to go and see!

Max Bennett's stare reminds me of Jim Halpert's.
YES
COMPLETELY
Funny how this is a one-shot in backstage in a theatre of a play going wrong and was released a month before Birdman
My wife, son and I saw this at the weekend, at the The Theatre Royal in Brighton and we had a great time.

If you pay attention, you can see "Dennis" coming back after "Chris" leaves the room.

they should make a movie
Jan Jacobsen They should call it "The Movie That Goes Wrong" or they should have a series of movies of different genres that "go wrong"
They recently did 'A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong' on BBC One and it wa truly something
He just said "Hello" like Lucifer

Bat Out Of Hell Best show in London really enjoyed it Great Cast and Great Songs would like to see it again

Daisy Thomas and the actors are dating in real life
I wanted an actual behind the scenes
Zero amount for what.?!
Quanto cazzo li amo!!!
I spilled my wine so much, I now resemble a bloodied carniverous Panda. So magnificently fabulotastic.
