    Hi does the security panel powered with an adapter from inside the wall? I do not see a wire hanging and plug?

    Vivint does have a DIY pack. It's small but we have 1. The 1 he has in his video isn't DIY.

    A very tight review for what is “the best” smart security system of 2024,I’m going to explain my experience with Vivint
    I called them and we agreed on suitable price for us because I’m the only income at home and we have a budget specially in this economy right? and the price over the phone with the financing equipment was very reasonable and competitive like 65 dollars for the system and the service now when they came home to set system up we have to finish all the paper work online officially and then they came up with a new price 95 dollars …to what I said I’m sorry I thought we had a deal!!! To me that’s a bad business practice and a big red flag 🚩 so I said no and they not even call me to see how they would fix it. So your video seems to me like a nice and short paid advertisement..good sell pitch.

      I was interested in leaving ADT for Vivint. I spoke with a sales rep yesterday, he was very pushy and when I told him I wanted to THINK it over first before deciding he just kept saying "I Can throw in this for free" blah blah blah. I told him I only needed one panel and two sensors, he originally quotes $599 for the panel then comes back and says that the panel will now be over $600 and that my bill would be $61 a month wich is almost $40 more than what I pay for ADT. I got a bad gut feeling from Vivint and their "superior" service and sure enough reading reviews I see that I should probably stay away and NOT lock myself into another contract as my ADT contract is ending at the end of the year.

    Thank you for your video! How do I get your quoted Vivint's $20 per month fee for monitoring and maintenance instead of their quoted $54.47 (before taxes) plus $5 for each extra video camera?

    • @johnszatkowski6898
      @johnszatkowski6898 24 дня назад +1

      Exactly! Basically you are looking at well over $60 a MONTH for a robust system but don't forget about adding ANYTHING which you have to setup an appointment and have a "tech" person come out to install whatever at $175 a pop! If you have MONEY falling out of your pockets and want to pay $800+ a year (not including service visits) then waste your money. TOO RICH for my blood and other options out there that do the same thing and in some cases BETTER!

    LOL! $20 a month for system that had NOTHING! How much were you PAID to post this crap! Now if you wanna add ANYTHING to this system you have to schedule and PAY for installation tech which is $175 or more a pop and have someone WALK all over your home and KNOW where all your most expensive things exist for a simple door sensor addition! NO THANKS! Not to mention if there is a problem with your system you have to schedule an appointment that could take over a WEEK or more at the ADDED service fee! and your home is BLIND in the meantime. The monthly fees are WAY more than $40 a month and then some if the is alarm triggered it ALL depends on the response time of your local police/fire REGARDLESS how much you pay per month! As with ANY system Vivant has MANY flaws and shortcomings. When it works as it's supposed to it's good but you PAY the PRICE per year and per month. TOO expensive for what you get overall!

    • @yungfleance849
      @yungfleance849 14 дней назад

      This is just wrong if you call in its way more expensive if you’re lucky sometimes there will be vivint sales people going door to door they give the best deals if you work with them and negotiate obviously they’re sales man lol. but we got free install and paid nothing out of pocket and ya we paid a bit more than others but that’s insignificant because of how much more value we’re getting out of it you get what you pay for and when it comes to my family and home I’m not cutting corners to nickel and dime

    • @johnszatkowski6898

      @@yungfleance849 ; Yeah but you PAY the price in monthly fees and "tech" guy appointments to add the most simple of devices at additional costs. In the end it's all about how fast your alarm reacts to a break-in, fire, CO2 alarm and calls you. You are overpaying for the SAME service other systems provide at WAY less expense per year. Not to mention if police response time sucks in your area NO alarm system will help you with that!

      I have read MANY reviews saying that they were unhappy and WAY TOO much a month and the added cost for a service tech to install the simplest sensor. I have also read complaints over cancellation of service and getting screwed returning the components.

      I'm trying it for the 30 days right now and it's giving me so many problems already. Constantly having to reboot panel and cameras, video glitches and skips which is in no way good for security purposes. If I try to save a clip sometimes it will fail and take me all the way back to the live stream. We had an instant where I had to call the police. I used the panel for police, the Vivint emergency assistant talked to me right away and after awhile told me police cleared the site already but they hadn't even come to my door. When I called the police to see why and repeated what their Vivint assistant told me, they said that was not true and it was indeed still an active call. 🚩🚩🚩

      I have read pretty much the same conclusion from MANY sources! $60-75+ a month is just ridiculous and NOT worth it yearly. Ring alarm with the PRO subscription is $200 a year with FULL 24/7 monitoring and has smoke/CO2 sensors and many other devices including a MULTITUDE of camera options that beats Simplisafe and others with a robust app that integrates seamless with Amazon Echo devices. Vivant at minimum is $750 a year and add that up over 5years! I've had Ring for well over 4yrs now and works great with only ONE false alarm that whole time which was quickly resolved from the 15second response call and was able to determine is was a false alarm while on the phone so NO police were dispatched.
