Rosie. A recruiter asked me what my salary expectations were today. I heard your voice say, "im just looking for a good fit." Then i panicked and said, "I dont really need money." OMG. What did i do ??? I dont need money ???
They've already invited me to a second interview next week. How can i backtrack? I DO need money ! Did i just screw myself?

Don't worry - you can bring it back! In the second interview, you can say that now you have a better understanding of the scope of the role, in line with market rates for salaries similar to this role you'd be expecting a salary range between X and Y - YOU GOT THIS! 🤩

Definitely focused too much on what I didn’t have. The advice you gave was on point but I’ll have to listen again and practice for it to stick.

I feel like making it seem like there's a sense of urgency is such a good point. In my experience it also gave me the opportunity to hear back quickly on an update from the role I applied for. It may not have been the answer I was after, but at least I knew and could move on. I find some work places take their time getting back to applicants who were unsuccessful, or not getting back to them at all.

YES 👏 It's also great to land an offer somewhere that might not be ideal quickly so you can use it as leverage for your REAL dream position 🤑

Rosie a lot of what you say here is applicable to a covering letter( my arch-nemesis!) - good to keep in mind that the desirable skills description is that of a unicorn not a regular Jane. Would you have a video for covering letters in particular by any chance?

I posted a step-by-step video to writing an incredible cover letter not long ago - definitely go check it out 🌟

@BadassCareers your video seems to have been removed and replaced with someone else's content i.e. def not an ad as 6 mins into a 46:51 min motivational talk about a kid with a brain injury, completely unrelated to your channel. I reloaded the link to be sure, but same again.
