It may sound harsh but I can't feel deep emotional bound to Pt.II characters so far. The reason is yes, exactly what you mentioned. All fun and jokes for earth girls, while characters like Thelema or Songque are more like NPCs (who they actually are so far). The stakes are rising and characters recieving development. This is why I can feel Pt.II have real potential. I really hope that this story will also receive that precious gems Part I had. The godly-level animation shorts. Like real animated, not in-game generated.
Honestly, I actually really like the child Dudu design. Is it better than her last battlesuit? Nope, but considering Durandal's history of how she was basically robbed of her childhood, seeing her being a kid fighting while having a genuine smile of joy on her face honestly makes me really happy. *Can't wait to get her!* 💙

Both of them is a normal human except the way they grown up is different. Bronya going through much more than Helia. Bronya had experience killing people, robbing enemy supply & weapon to survive at Siberia. Going through X-10 experiment that nearly crippled (corrupted) her whole body. As a result lose the ability to walk and had to rely on Project Bunny to floating. Until she acquired core of reason that she at last capable to fix her body.

@kianakaslanasimp I don't mind Helia being immature in this early story but her way of thinking had so many wrong. Even if she does born with higher adaptability to Honkai, it doesn't mean she is qualify as S rank.

You do realize Litost is just a simulation and not the original man right? Killing him won't do shit. He is just going to get restored at the next point in history because the simulation is structured that way. Trying to kill him while not being a system administrator like the goddess of mars is utterly MEANINGLESS since she is the ONLY one who can delete him from the database which she is not going to do because he clearly has a role in the whole mess with mars. She's not gonna care about some valk's self pity rampage.

Durandal being nerfed is actually part of the lore tho, she had to be nerfed becuase she would destroy the entire Mars supercomputer. Mini Durandal's attacks could cause glitches
I haven't played much of Part 2 yet but i think it's because the virtual avatars in Mars represent desires, so I am guessing Durandal wanted the chance to relive her childhood 🤔🤔😢
