I'm so glad you didnt make it much larger than my MK1, I got the MK2 and T1 from Dubai delivered to the UK on Tuesday and loving it! I never took the MK1 off and the MK2 will also stay on! Still not decided what to do with my MK1, probably keep it as a backup as I've swapped the Titanium strap over to my MK2 and swap to Rubber for diving :-)
Hi, is it possible to navigate to a previously visited dive spot in the water using the compass? Because I was only able to see turn-by-turn navigation.
Fabulous Presentation - thank you so much. Could you also provide some videos that go more detailed through the dive related features and how to manage them on the watch.
Hello! Thanks for reaching out. I do believe we are working on more videos for the MK2. You'll want to keep an eye on our RUclips or Support Center for more videos and topics: support.garmin.com/en-US/?productID=633356&tab=topics If we can further assist please let us know. *MH
Hi, would really appreciate if this series was available for garmin descent g1. I just got mine and have trouble finding resources that teach me how to use it, especially for dive features. Thanks
Definitely getting the mk2i for diving, but also want to know is the altimeter good enough to skydive with? I wouldn't jump without a proper alti but just curious how good the one on the watch is?
Hi there! The Descent Mk2i has a jumpmaster feature that follows military guidelines for calculating the high altitude release point (HARP). The device detects automatically when you have jumped to begin navigating toward the desired impact point (DIP) using the barometer and electronic compass. If you have any questions, please feel free to email them to Product.Support@Garmin.com and a Garmin Support representative will be happy to assist you. (KS)
@@GarminInt Thankyou for the relpy, I'm very impressed with this computer, though I do have one question. Can you.please.update the app to be able to change units to the metric system and set temps in Celsius, this it what we use outside America. Thank you.
Hi Dylan! You can change the units of measure on the Descent Mk2i by following these steps: 1. Hold MENU. 2. Select System > Units. 3. Select a measurement type. 4. Select a unit of measure. If you have any questions, please email them to Product.Support@Garmin.com and a Garmin Support representative will be able to assist you further. Thanks! (KS)
What an awesome piece of gear, thanks for the presentation and info. Regarding the mk2i, will it only be available with those blue accents around the buttons or will there also a be a more muted colour option with ti or grey/silver accents for example later on? Or will there perhaps be an option to purchase those button housings later on in various colour options as a user-replaceable accessory since the inductive part is functioning on the other end of the colour accented part within the watch housing itself 7:04
Hi There, That is a great question. Currently, it will only be available in the Blue accents. I do not believe this piece alone will be sold as a separate accessory. We have also not heard about another color choice possibly being available for this model. Typically, we release all color choices for a product when the product itself is released. Kind Regards, {IK}
Hi, Mark. We haven't heard if any flight apps have been planned. I'd like to get your thoughts to our Ideas Portal for our team to look at. They look at these for possible future implementations. Here's a link to the portal: www.garmin.com/ideas *MH
This is awesome. Can you connect it to the chart plotter? I’m mostly diving from the boat, it would be fantastic if it had the same capabilities as the quatix, so that I only need one watch
@@GarminInt Will the MK3i have them? ;-) At least an anchor alarm! Please! It is awesome that you can use the MK2 for skydiving, but not for sailing?? there are more people diving from boats that jumping from planes hehe :-)
I have the mark one and it's a great watch But... One major failure that you show in your introduction, it shows a guy on a boat and it says "Review and share every dive on the Garmin dive app" Well the boats out in the ocean and he doesn't have internet connectivity so he can't transfer the data from the watch to the dive app That's the Achilles heel, so in essence that part of the intro is false I would think this would be a simple solution you simply allow transfer of data via Bluetooth
Hello James, it would need a connection to a phone for an alert. I would recommend sharing your ideas directly with our innovators through this portal: www.garmin.com/ideas Thank you -MR
Hi Jessica! You can set alerts on the Descent Mk2 that help you understand things like your ascent/descent rates and oxygen levels: ms.spr.ly/6054XNOo0 [MP]
No mention of TTS (time to surface) its real nice to have a running timer telling you TTS without having to do math while suffering from narcosis. Also, is it possible to add a gas while underwater. Huge move on using sonar for air integration. RF is garbage two meters underwater, maybe in a pool LOL
Hi there! The Descent Mk2 only comes in stainless steel with a black band, but there are other color options with the Mk2S and Mk2i. You're welcome to submit any feature requests or suggestions directly to our engineers via the Garmin Ideas Portal for future consideration: ms.spr.ly/6052XsLII (KS)

If You go in Deco in the 1st dive, can you dive 2nd time same day? Does mk2 lock or it will allow it ?
Getting one soon... Wish it didn't engage dive mode when jumping in a pool.
Did you find a way to stop this?
It would be GREAT if Garmin would create a youtube "user manual" for this.
Hi There,
That is a great suggestion. Please be sure to submit to our team here: ms.spr.ly/6057V1bzS

I just ordered the Mk2i for scuba diving. I also thought I could use this watch for golf as well. The Garmin app works on my phone not on the watch.

Great combination of feature.. Eagerly awaiting the availability of MK2i & T1 👍👍
Why can’t you modify watch settings or plan a dive using the app and then synch that with the watch?
When is the Mk3 coming out and what will be on it?

Please put in VPM-B and I'll buy it
i wish the MK2i was just a tad less expensive, $2300 CAD is o lot of money so ive sacrafised the AI and bought the MK2s
Sorry , it's expensive for me
Real buggy firmware I've heard. Chirping beeping incorrect data ... 3 cheers for guinea pigs. Dive charts ... $4.00. Lol
