- This artist pocket book junk journal is made from scratch using pieces that I view as art. Paper, fabric, quotes, and even my own artwork and collages.This is by far my most personal journal I've created and I absolutely loved it! I used my no sew binding method for creating the spine and inside pages. You can use this technique for creating any type of journal. I hope this flip through inspires you to create your own artist pocket book!

Love this!!! I do journals like this all the time! I have missed you and your art! I have been sick, so it’s good to see your videos again! Last year my colon ruptured, went into cardiac arrest, and diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and liver cancer! God put together the best medical team, and now I am cancer free…. Neuropathy is bad! But I am alive, and grateful to artists like you who inspire me to get up, every day and be positive, and create my cards that I pass out, and too put feelings when I hurt into journals!!! Thank you Amity!! Love ya!!!

When I give someone a journal they say it is the best thing anyone ever gave them. I just actually finally finished one for myself. I have given out 14 over the last year and a half.

Today is my anniversary of my sweet husband of 45 years 50 now he’s been gone for 5
Found lots of wedding pictures of us and cards we received.

This journal reminds me of the magical movie, "Enchanted April." The movie was so delightful. Three women from various backgrounds find love in themselves, then discover authentic romantic love! Sometimes your stories bring me to tears. Thank you again for sharing your creative, and personal journey.
I saw that movie "Enchanted April" years and years ago. Can't remember a lot of the details, but I do SO remember just loving it!
11:11 is a special time for my husband and I as well! We have attached its meaning to the precious pets we've lost. We like to that they are sending a Hello to us❤❤❤❤

What I remind my kids of all the time: when you look into the mirror, tens of thousands of years of ancestors are there looking back at you. I think we are each crafted uniquely by God, but that includes bits and pieces of those who came before us in a very literal sense. At least to me, my family is like a river flowing through space and time, ourselves being at the head of the river, directing it ever onward❤

Astounding! The style, images, color pallet, words, and ideas -- all so inspiring. I teared up when you mentioned your dad. Such sweet memories. I ran right to the shop before this video was done, and I will be buying as much as I can! My favorite idea was how the butterflies on the tag fit into a sort of slot that you made. LOVE this, Nazy! I learned about mica in a geology class, so I recognized it on the fairy wing. It can be peeled very thin and large pieces used to be used as "glass" in windows in Russia, according to my professor. 🙂💟🌻
Oh wow! I just recently discovered mica and love the effect it creates for mixed media. It’s amazing that they used it for windows in the past! Each time I work with it I find so much joy in peeling each layer haha! Thank you for sharing such an interesting fact with me Hali, I loved it!

Everything about this is precious, lovely and inspiring. From your little page of painted flowers. The dried flowers of your Dads, the precious photo of butterflies in your hair to the beaded paperclip your mom made and the big sister/little sister page. Your stories of each page and of creating your new kits and this journal are engaging. The lace on the cover and the colors, the buttons, as always a joy to watch. I love the way you have created a personal and meaningful journal. The dancing lady looks to me as if it is a photo of Isadora Duncan. Do look up her story because she was so unique and liberated in her day. I think you will love Isadora. . Unrequited love is a very hard experience . I am glad you found your sweetheart. Today I wrote in my personal journal "I never found true, enduring love except for the love I gave."
