The hidden gems, if you will, of Diagon Alley....this could involve diagon alley stores, diagon alley show, diagon alley secrets. We'll explore them all in this video, mainly the little things that could go unnoticed if you don't watch this video. I love top 10 universal list, or in my case top 6....as I do like to rhyme Rick. These will be some must do diagon alley things or must do universal studios things they might not be as obvious to most muggle visitors to the wizarding world of harry potter.

Since you're a guy, you probably don't know a funny spot I found. Right across from the common space where the owls are perched on the ceiling planks there is a bathroom. Inside the women's bathroom there is a stall that has an out of order sign on it. If you listen, you can hear Moaning Myrtle.

You missed the best part of the shrunken heads easter egg: if you cast Mimble-Wimble on the heads while theyre singing "Show me the way to go home", theyll stammer for a minute and then sing it again, but change the lyrics to "We'll show you how to go home. We're tired of you messing with our heads."
Also, another cool thing, the Leaky Cauldron sign leaks. Stand under it and it will drip on you!
I wonder how many people are aware that during the daytime the Knight Bus is supposed to have normal seats on it...the beds only appear at night.

We were just there this past weekend and I didn’t get to see hardly anything in diagon alley. My wife was all about the leaky cauldron and the gringotts ride. I would have loved to spend several hours there just looking at stuff.
It's an amazingly themed place, that's for sure.
They should hide the 7 Horcruxes around the park and if you find them all you get a cool prize like a official letter to Hogwarts sent to you in the mail or a bunch of that cool Gringotts money

Rick, I find it a bit amusing that nobody thinks about walking entirely around the Knight Bus. When I went there with some family friends, we explored the entire thing and to our surprise, you could stand on the staircase. I was surprised by the sheer level of detail put into it right down to the chandelier and beds. Glad you mentioned the bus.

I think my favorite were the elixirs. Tried 3 out of 4 and saved the bottles for our HP display. The shrunken heads were cool too. I probably wouldn't have wandered back there if I hadn't seen them in your earlier vlogs.

Thanks for the Great information. Did you know that you can also talk to the banker and he will answer your question. We missed you during our trip. But coming back December 7 & 8 to use our other two days of Universal tickets. Maybe will we see you then.

Vicki Story Yes because I did go in and talk to him we were down there just after Christmas. That was one of my favorite things and most especially going down knockturn alley! We were at the Friday after Christmas and I would not recommend it unfortunately because it was very crowded! It was nice going into this part of the park though at night since they were open later. It was actually one of the least crowded places in the park because there’s not an actual ride there except for the Gringots Bank and they actually have some benches too unlike much of the rest of the park! I say it would be nice if they can add more branches all over the place, some of us like to occasionally sit down! This is a nice area to go to just for sightseeing shopping and a little snack!

i have been at diagon alley twice and never noticed the window creature Lol . I am in a hurry always since people that always go with me don't like harry potter to appreciate this section . Since I will go on summer again this video was really helpful to learn more . Thank you 😌

I would just bring a water bottle and buy the elixir to mix in it. I wanted to try it but I couldn’t get myself to spend that $ also. When you could just buy another butterbeer for that price!

They give you a map of locations when you buy the wand. But if your bringing your kids be prepared to be pushed around by alot of immature adults not allowing young kids to enjoy the activities
Yep, but the map doesn't have the two secret spots. It can get crazy in there, worse if there are adult acting like you said.

There's a lot going in London/Diagon Alley...hard to catch everything.

The shrunken heads singing the jaws song is cool. I’m going in March. I’ll have to check it out.
It make take a few turns of other songs, but it's there and a great homage to the old attraction.
I really enjoy the theme park video, I am to old to go any more - so it's nice to see some of what I miss.

Last year my son kevin was hit by a car trying to prevent his little brother (Kevin jr) from getting hit by a truck. He got hit anyway. We took both of em to diagonal alley after they got out of intensive care. It was a nice trip and we surely will return someday.

Hey! Can you tell a bit about the pass holder discount you have on restaurants? I can’t find anything about it on the internet. Thanks a lot!
If you have a Preferred Pass or the Premier Pass you get discounts in park and City Walk on merchandise and food. I think the Preferred Pass is a 5% discount and the Premier is higher (I think 10%). With food, not every place gives a discount, so you just have to ask at the time you're seat. In fact, any time we are about to pay for anything, we ask just to make sure.

That’s probably the one thing we missed out of the things you’ve mentioned (minus the secret wand spots buuut we didn’t buy a wand so it wouldn’t have really mattered haha)

My family is "muggles", and I am partially. When we went to Universal, if I hadn't known where the entrance was for the Diagon Alley, and it's ride -- because of RUclips videos, we would have walked right past it. Not a very good marketing/design decision.
I see people looking confused and walking by it all the time. And I can see why.
The whole point is it’s supposed to be hidden in plain sight..
You have to know where to look. That's the whole point. Only magical folk know how to get in.

You know what's funny disney is called scummy and scamy for disney dollars. Meanwhile universal doing the exact same thing with "wizard" dollars is loved and not scamy. Just shows the biasedness of the disney hatters/universal fanboys. They both do all the same things they both are great. But over and over disney gets criticized for the same things they both due.
The whole concept is kind of funny if you think about because...just printing their own money. Maybe I could print Rix Flix dollars and sell them for $10, lol. That is some kind of profit margin.
The only justification I could come up with for universal is if you could trade muggle money for galleons and sickles and the like but if it’s literally just a piece of paper that says “wizard dollar” that seems like not only a missed opportunity but also kind of pointless
Peyton Waldera I totally agree. When Rix said “wizard money” I was thinking the gold coins from the movies, not a piece of paper with a UPC code.
I dislike the idea at both parks! There you go - a hater for both. I walked in there and thought to myself that you would be crazy to buy fake money to spend in the park.
What is the exchange rate? If $10 US gets me $10 in wizard money then its all for fun. I mean I know I'm buying an ice cream and butter beer anyway. If I lose money in the transaction...then no thanks. I'm not buying monopoly money at a loss.

But the third time I watch this video
And I found it
"Wizard bills" more like "budget cuts". They could mint coins. This place looks great, but its $8 to drink anything at all. Stuff in the shops STARTS at $20 and i mean thats for a pack of jelly beans... its for the rich really. We went and decided to not buy anything so we could eat out for dinner 3 nights instead. It would be very easy to spend $1,000 here and you wouldnt have much to show for it.
