    At around 1050 you talk about bits of models. I've seen a number of people keep "bits" in tool trays. The sort that you see mechanics keep nuts and bolts in, or screws and small components. You can mount trays on your wall or buy little tool boxes with components and dividers in. Jewelery boxes or craft boxes work too.

    11:02 I sort my loose bits in peanut butter jars that really helps me find what I’m looking for and there isn’t wasted spaces of an almost empty sprue

      That is a great idea. I'm a nurse so I will probably bring home a bunch of sterile urine specimen cups and use them to store different extra pieces organized by time period

    A second thought - when a unit loses in hand to hand and reach their shaken value do the excess casualties then go onto the supports - after the combat is resolved (ie break test etc)? I seem to remember that in a crusade game Martin played. As I mentioned I am no expert but I do love watching Martin's games and have watched and rewatched them several times while painting. I have to be careful as I really want to get a Naps game going once I get a bare minimum of troops painted - still ages away yet - but then I see a game like this and think oh I could really paint some romans hahahaha

    • @basement1908
      @basement1908  2 месяца назад

      I do believe you are correct. I neglected those additional casualties getting shared with the supports. I will have to do some quicknreading prior to the next battle. Martin ( @7thson726 ) rules! Love his battles! Have a great week my friend!

    Super stoked when I saw this was up to watch - still watching but a question - now I don't play Hail Caesar - yet (I have a force of Imperial Romans underway though) - from watching games by Martin the two attacks around the 26 minute mark - shouldn't there be a charging bonus so hitting on threes for the charge and the defenders hitting on fours? I am no expert at all have to say.
    Can't wait to keep watching - I really like the fantasy flavour of this world and how you have used the ruleset in this way.
    Brilliant mate.
    Oh and yes to a comment below about clipping parts of the sprues and keeping them sorted in tubs that have all those compartments - I do that and it is a life saver for kit bashing and replacements etc

    Monday morning here and the game has provided a great start to my week !
    Pity the encounter dissolved into two separate battles but still fun and engrossing nevertheless.
    The spread sheet was a great supplementary addition to the experience.
    Looking forward to your next production Steve
    p.s. Sad that the Pasha met his end but rumour has it that an Immortal by the name of "Mustapha Rubb" would make a great replacement 😉

    What a totally different game loved it . How do you fit giants and orcs into hail ceaser. Never mind the bill hooks might work well but I'm really interested in this concept of using hail ceaser and adapting them to fit your game

      I just tweaked their army stats a bit, and it all worked out. I was inspired by the Lion Rampant/ Dragon Rampant rules. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a fantastic week 👍

    • @basement1908
      @basement1908  Месяц назад +1

      I probably need to do that. I have talked about this campaign world in small snippets throughout my Infamy Infamy, Lion Rampant, Oathmark and now Hail Caesar battle Reports, but I've never sat down and flushed out the whole situation. I'm going to have to get that on the schedule. Have a fantastic week my friend 👍

      @basement1908 Lol, oh nooo! I really liked Grom haha. As a fantasy and alt-history loving historian, I'm having a lot of fun watching these. I really like how you're moving a narrative with multiple systems, that's fantastic. They read almost like a novel, and that's intriguing as well. My two oldest sons are getting to the age I'd like to get them into wargaming (if it takes) and I think they're going to like these videos as well. Cheers!
