OMG, this tool is beyond my mind. I just extract models and textures from Terminator game and I finally can make some cool renders and set to my computer wallpaper.

I think so but you have to use unreal engine for that (same version as the game used) and it gets complicated when the 3d models are rigged/animated. Textures are a bit easier there. I wanted to mod The Outer Worlds - I managed textures but 3d models was too hard so I gave up on that.
So Ive followed along with the tutorial, double checked that the game I'm looking at is on the compatability list, gone to export files and every single time I hit Export it just crashes with a pop up message saying: Fatal Error : VirtualTextures are not supported. Anyone else get this? Ive been on it for an hour now and I cant figure it out. :(
Does anyone know if there is anyone reason as to why it doesnt show anything after pressing ok? I went to the pak location(It wasnt under a folder that was titled the same as the game) and when i press ok it just All folders in the UEviewer and when i click on that nothing extra shows at all. I'm currently trying to get Models from Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. I'm assuming it might be because the game is still fairly new.

@@lyoshko I haven't dealt with the subject of protection since then. My projects are currently private and local so it's not that important to me yet. Mayber later on i will continue to think about that topic. I think there is deffently a way to protect it but idk how. Maybe EpicGames can help out there with some informations. Or maybe try to contact a indie studio and ask how they protect there stuff from being extracted. When you find a way please message here. Would be awesome to know at some point.

@@home-dream-records1399 This doesn't work, there is no true way to stop it people can rip the aes keys anyway if you want to make it not easy, edit the engine source and how it stores models at a low level, then ripping won't be worth the pain

I'm not sure if PS4 discs are Blu-ray discs like PS3, in that case you need a blu-ray disc drive, as normal DVD drives can't read them... But if the PS4 doesn't use blu-ray (which I find unprobable, given that PS3 uses them already), then I have no idea 😐
I think it's less convoluted to use the Unreal Editor export pipeline, particularly the USD format which gives you the option to bake the materials to a PBR format that automatically display in e.g Blender
I need help finding voice lines in a game. the thing is that i need the german once but the devs have hidden them somewhere plus they are all out of order or in places where they dont belong. also every time i hit export on a UEXP or a UASSET file, it does nothing. even tho it says its a wave form. it worked for the first 2 and now it doesnt. what the hell am i doing wrong?

I've been using this recently to rip character models out of Paladins to turn them into STL files. It works really well but the only thing I cant seem to get are the Correct textures. All the ones I've seen so far have all been 64x64 super low res textures. I was hoping to try and get some Detail into the plain models by seeing if there was a way to bake their normal textures into the models but I'm not expert in this in the slightest lol.

There's probably no need. A complicated version would be to create a Unity game with the model imported as obj or fbx and then extract the asset file from that new game.

Now I have a folder structure like this Game > Icons > Textures and in there I have my altered images. So now im stuck.. How do I turn this into a mod or make the game load these edited images? Do I repack? How? Do I have to name it a specific way? Do I place it in a certain location? The game is made in unreal 4.26 and has no offical modding support. Can ANYONE help me getting these images loaded into the game. I now have a folder structure with png files ready to be placed in the game but I do not know how!

Keep getting an error of "Bad Memory Allowication Size" I've dug through the internet and still can't seem the find a solution on it. It happens whenever I try to extract a texture/model. Do you know why by chance?
probably there is as they are stored somewhere in the game executable (I think) but for the popular games you can just google them. Bear in mind that they might change after game updates and that differnt .pak from the same game may also have different keys.

Whenever I export the models, they don't appear in the folder. In fact, no UmodelExport folder is created. Any idea why?

Well this lets you replace models and have them be playable in game?
I think this is only for you to extract them from the game, not to mod new models into it...

Make sure you enable sound when you first start up UModel!
