Cliff did not have a backbone when it came to Claire, she was wrong on MANY occasions, but would never admit it, Cliff was always the 1st one to say he was sorry. I get that you respect your wife, but this was too much, Claire did not respect Cliff and that is the same way Sondra and Denise did with their husbands.

When Cliff came home from the store for the third time, Sondra's father-in-law was laughing at the dinner table! This is by far my favorite Cosby Show episode! Love those Huxtables!

Some times you just gotta let people in. Like Theo and his friends, that's okay because they were in need. Now Olivia's mom is a question, it has good sentiment, but really it's Denise, she has a good heart but she's dumb as a poll sometimes. In the end it was alright though.

My grandmother ALWAYS forgot something EVERY Thanksgiving and Christmas, and she would ALWAYS send Grandpa out to pick up those items. He ALWAYS found some place that was open, then ALWAYS come home as grumpy as Cliff did.
This is about the only time Claire annoyed me 🤣🙄 got that man doing store runs on Thanksgiving Day for stuff she should’ve had at least a week in advance and then had the nerve to go next door and borrow things from next door when she should’ve did that to begin with 😩
Cliff Huxtable is actually a very underrated comedy character. He was just as hilarious and iconic as Fred Sanford, George Jefferson, Archie Bunker, Al Bundy, Barney Fife etc.

Same thing happened to me when I first got my drivers license. My parents were hosting thanksgiving and I had to make three trips to the store to get ingredients my mom needed. After the third trip everyone forgot about me and started eating with out me. I just left the bag on the table and went to a friends house and spent the night until I got an apology from my family
The grandfather's blessing was what America was all about in this era. Family and faith. You wouldn't see a blessing on a sitcom today. Sad world. We have gone backwards. And this was a black family that was the number one show in America for 5 straight seasons: white's and blacks alike loved it.
Hilarious! My mind will always initially think that grocery stores are closed on Thanksgiving when they are always open on Thanksgiving but it truly wasn’t so back in the 90’s.
It's also where we saw Olivia's real mom for the first time. She walked out on that child and Martin to live the life she wanted. Yes mom's can be like that too.

Cosby reminds me so much of my dad who's 20 yrs younger than him...even down to the dancing and the University/College tees and sweatshirts! Love it!!

Love this episode watch his hat get lower and lower and wetter. Hilarious.
It's also where we saw Olivia's real mom for the first time. She walked out on that child and Martin to live the life she wanted. Yes mom's can be like that too.
